I hear ya too. I try to go at least every 3 weeks or so or I get withdrawal.

Last week I was at a wedding and the altar was on the side of a mountain. I was looking at the rocks and saw a line that I was pretty sure my Jeep would be able to handle.

Hey Gary I haven't seen you for a while. You've been MIA.
I'm looking forward to this Saturday. It will be great wheeling with you again.
A lot of good friends are coming out for this run.

Joe.

I always plan on taking lots of pics but I get sidetracked with being in the moment instead of taking photo's to share the moment. Maybe I can sneak up close to the front of the line which gives me more time to take photo's.

John Bull Classic Lager

Alcohol strength:
ABV is 5.0%
Pack format:
Keg

John Bull Classic is a well established lager which can be found across Italy, Russia, Hungary, Lithuania and also throughout the John Bull Pub Company Estate in France.
John Bull, who first appeared as a satirical character in 1712 was used to represent the strong, good-hearted, honest, good humoured and patriotic Englishman. Over the following 200 years or more the character matured and became an icon for the strengths of the nation, his size being seen as a sign of prosperity and good living.
John Bullís position in popular culture was ensured following his incorporation into engravings by influential Georgian caricaturist, James Gillray and later, from the 1840ís, in cartoons in the famous British humour magazine, Punch.

John Bull Classic has an abv of 5% and is a golden lager beer, double filtered to give a distinctive, clean, extra smooth taste. It is rounded and irresistibly fresh in aftertaste.

Too bad, according to that, it's only available as a keg and not in the US. It'd be cool to get a John Bull bottle!

Found a can of it, said it's no longer being brewed.

I wish I could come out. We are attending a mid afternoon wedding that is keeping me off the trails.

It was a great day Dakota, weather was perfect and we had a great turnout. In fact the reason no one has replied is because they are just getting home

Bull started off slow with a traffic jam of jeeps, we rolled up on a group that had about 4 on the rock and 4 more waiting to start up. They had a tire blowout...but all good and we got through including several that were having their first Bull session today...

In fact we were having too much fun so we ran Holcomb as well...

Sounds like some fun. Wish I could have been there. We are down in the desert now and it is high 80s. We are running across Ocotillo Wells tomorrow and into Truckhaven tomorrow with Rick and his friend, and Kathy and Steve (don't think you have met them yet). If anyone wants to go back to back come on down (8AM start). I can't wait to get back up in Big Bear, I really want to do JB this summer, especially before the M&G.

Looking forward to pics.

It was an awesome day, Thanks to Bill for organizing. Thanks to Dan for some great spotting on John Bull. Because of Dan's awesome spotting and Russ making it look easy I took the path less travelled by our group up the center obstacle. Great fun!

I learned that ponderosa pines do not move for JK's and smashed a door handle. I also learned that rock sliders can be bent up to block passenger side doors if you try hard enough. I need to take my wife breakfast since she can't get out yet.

Thanks all for a great day. Spent time with a bunch that I have met before and met some real nice folks that we haven't wheeled with prior. I look forward to the next trip.

Thanks to Bill I can now say that I have run John Bull and Holcomb Creek. What a great day with Wrangler Forum friends new and old, I have met the best people here on this forum and even better yet I know they will always have my back if there are any problems on the trail just as I would have theirs.

What a great day, finished JB and had lunch thanks to Jim and his wife around 2:30 then headed off for Holcomb. Just my opinion, but I thought Holcomb was a little more difficult than JB because we had more obstacles and longer rock gardens. But either way I'm ready to go back.

Many thanks to Bill our fearless leader, Dan for spotting, Joe his help on the trail, and Jim and his wife again for lunch. Subway was not open when I left HB so the sandwich they gave me was much needed and very tasty too.

Great times for sure with great people all around. I've got some pics(mostly of Jim's) and a video of Bill I'll work on tonight. Thanks for all the great spotting Dan as that's the only way I could've made that one section look "easy". Jim thanks for the CB spots as well. My first time doing Holcomb as well. Bill thanks for putting it together. Best part was our Baja 1000 dash to the road. Love that stuff.

I agree and thing Holcomb Creek is more difficult than John Bull. It is the trail that I received all my damage from. Just washed the orange beast and found my currie tie rod was a good purchase, must have hit is 6 times from all the scrapes. Also bent the steering stabilizer bracket. In addition found I jammed my rear bumper corner into the orange paint. Guess I need to get Stan to open a body repair area in his shop.

Once I get a little time, I will post a few hiking photos.

So Doug you did great, only one tug on 2 pretty tuff trails and no locker. It means you had to drive smarter

I think I remember when you hit the steering stabilizer on that first major obstacle on JB when you went left while most of the rest of us were going right. I'm out cleaning up my rig right now and all I have come across so far is a dent in my rock slider and every or skid plate with multiple scratches but it just so happens I have that color paint in my garage.
