I'm not gonna be able to make this one. I'll have to use that weekend for some overdue Jeep maintenance and maintenance on our other family vehicles. I was hoping to get that done this weekend, but too much other holiday weekend stuff taking precedence, like cookin' up ribs and steak and fish and cutting up watermelon, etc.

I'm down for this. Just worried about my jeep. I'm running 33" BFG km2 on a 4" lift with an open d35. Can anyone tell me if it is doable. I was able run through dishpan with no problem. How does dishpan compare to JB?

Well as far as John Bull compared to Dishpan, I would still say that JB is the tougher of the two. The worst part of Dispan is a real piece of work and as of Friday is as tough as I have seen it. You have 33s and a 4" lift and that is good, it would be nice to have a locker but depending on your experience etc you can make it and there will be help if needed. You should join us!

I did JB on open diffs / 3.5 lift and a dropped belly pan in 1" spacers.

I was told by one fine wheeler to lear to wheel what you got and then decide what to change based on shortfalls of your rig...... He was so right.

Did Lockwood/Miller on open diff and 31's without any real problems. NEVER even thought about a strap....

Run safe..Jeeps are made for fun.

i completely agree with you. i think its a little more fun that way also. iv been really surprised at how the jeep has performed so far. i just dont want to take the jeep somewhere where it has no chance of making it through.thanks for the info. im gonna really try and make it out.

No problem, I certainly understand that. I ran with a built 35 for awhile and don't regret it. It took me through some tough trails, but I can understand you wanting to change your axle set us as well. It gets pricey to do things twice... Hope you can make the run!

I have a jeep. Isn't that enough? JK Bill thinks I can make it so I should be good. Right Bill?
