crawl, that second picture is bad ass! really shows you the rear side of that boulder.

doyle,

hey, on another note, i'm going to be house sitting the lady's house this upcoming weekend in temecula, just wondering if you like know a place to go shooting or if you want to join while we're out there. just hit me up. ideally, i'd like to shoot off some 308. i will also bring my rig out there.

I got inlaws this weekend. But would be cool. The picture I think Tim is going to like. We will definetly hook up on another run and having the pix's is awsome. Thanks

I find it hard to believe that I went through there. That is a great picture. The bottom of my jeep surprised me when I got home. Need some paint on the bottom of both sliders and the bottom of the front diff and that's about it. Even the protection I just added on the rear lca's and shocks didn't get hit. Great times.

Nice pics D, like usual. Sorry I missed this one. Bullfrog & cakewalk are always good times. Talked to ur dad that night via text. Worked till 9 pm Friday nt getting the topend done on the kids truck. Noticed the oil pan gasket had a leak when I was underneath double checking leaks, so that screwed up sat, darn it. Wish I could of made it, but the kids truck had to be together for work and school. Later...

Sounds like you need to get another one of these runs together when your Jeep is back up! That way those who couldnt attend the first one can join in as well!

Here you go guys. I haven't finished my recap or highlight of the trail. But here is part 1 of our Trip with sound and it's raw video. Sorry, but I got swamped with school this week.

Amazing job on the spotting. Love the Sports with the open Diffs, spinning tires and rail sliding. Great job getting them through.

With Don? That was a punctured side wall. Nothing you can do about that.

It happens, we had a punctured sidewall, and a slow leak, on the same Jeep. And a busted axle on another last weekend at Calico. Plus the usual slider dings, and one little rear corner ding. Other than the axle, a pretty tame weekend.
But again, mad props on getting them all home. Look forward to wheeling with you guys soon.

Do you remember what brand/model of tire had the ruptured side wall? Just curious. Ours was a BFG MT. I've seen a lot of BFG MT's get punctured side walls.

Stock Goodyear Wrangler SR-A. He didn't air down, and the first rock he applied pressure to the sidewall on, boom.

Ya, gotta learn somehow! I didn't know my first time out either. Got lucky and made it back. So bumpy though that my 3 yo puked in the back seat. Got rid of that new car smell real fast...

Too funny. I took a stock LJ on a night run up Doran. Destroyed my rear shocks, drive shafts, bent my lower control arm brackets, punched holes in my muffler, bent both bumpers, and left a lot of paint on a couple of canyon walls. It was the perfect excuse to get my lift. Lol

if anyone is still out there, i'm uploading the second video tonight. it's even longer so it probably won't finished till 2 am. but you'll see it tomorrow. it's the same type of video, raw edit with sound and full clips and it's the completed second half of our trip. sorry for the delay.

Yeah, Calico is a great place to make people realize their Jeeps aren't invulnerable. My first trip there I busted my steering stabilizer and tore my rear driveshaft boot. Sounds like I got off easy compared to you though. Ha ha!
