LA County Mechanic

Hi All,

So I posted and asked about a SoCal Mechanic and many of you suggested Stan out in Yucaipa and yes he seems GREAT.

I really would like to save that trip for major issues. Is there anyone in the Los Angeles County area anyone would suggest that is good with Jeeps? Any help would be much appreciated

'94 Jeep Wranger S, 5 spd.

NOTE: Have a little blow by that needs to be looked at. Thinking I may just need to change valve cover gasket, pcv, and some hoses.

Not sure exactly where you are at, but in our area, the college has an automotive department where they will work on your vehicles for next to nothing. You have to leave it there for at least a couple days, and understand that it is students (under instructors supervision) working on your ride, but that sounds like exactly the type of challenge they like to present to the students. Good luck to you........Phil in the High Desert

Last time I read about him, he was downtown. Cheviot Hills is a much better location for me.
Thanks for the heads up.

Brothers 4 x 4 in Ontario. They too are good guys that know their stuff, and they wheel too. Still may be too far for you though but the info is out there for you.

Long time forum follower in need of a honest mechanic in Los Angeles. Does anyone know of a repair shop that won't give me the run around with unneeded work or over priced service?

Recently having some fluid leaks; possibly transmission based on the light pink fluid color. Also need to replace the U-joints.

Appreciate it!
