I want to do Last Chance Canyon, again.
I want to do a 2 day, dry camping experience. Pack it in, Pack it out., coupled with Wheeling the regional Canyons, Gulleys, Trails, and such. Anyone want to come along? October 18th-25th? Make plans, cancel engagements....get lost, and WHEEL!! PM me for detailed info.

I, and several others would LOVE to join in. We ae quite familiar with LC, and Goler, Bonanza, and Mesquite canyons. In fact, we usually stay at the cabins if they are available. Our loosely held group has a trip every February, and again usually in early May to the El Paso's.

What kind of trails are we talkin
Most of my 4x4 experience is mud holes and woods on the east coast
I will have my lockers and gears in by then, only rock crawling was on the brooklyn mine trail and I know thats an easy one.
If I can survive I can come up Friday night and leave Saturday after the trail run.
Have to work Sunday

Yeah, thats called Goler Gulch, and there used to be a small settlement there. BUT...many vandals, and just plain aholes, have burned them down, shot them up, and BLM did in the last ones. The old Edith E cabin was the last one to stand, and now even that has been vandalized, and shot to pieces. Going up canyon from there you encounter the "Squeeze" and it can be a tricky, or a piece of cake, depends on the weather previously, and who/what was here yesterday. You could bypass the squeeze, and use either Mesquite, or Iron Canyons, or even come in on EP-15, from the 14 freeway at the two big bill boards, just before you get the freeman pass.

I'm in, and can probably vouch for at least two more. What would folks think of using Bonanza Gulch as a base camp, and then some could run up to Robbers Roost, some to the mouth of Last Chance, for the rocks, some over to Sheep Springs, and even some to a quick peek at the Tufa Towers at Trona Pinnacles!
A run to Randsburg, and over to Red Mountain, or the Lake Bed at Cuddeback dry lake. ( Look out for the Air Force!!!)
Gas and supplies in "Joberg", and Randsburg.

This could become EPIC!!

What day(s) are you planning to get into the most aggressive wheelin? I'm too old and lame for any of that overnight dry camping business, but not to far gone to tear things up on a day run.

What time and where will you be starting your runs on Saturday or Sunday morning? By any chance do you have GPS coordinates? I might be able to get one or two more to join in for a day trip. At the most you are only a couple hours north of Victorville.
