Mammoth Trails

Anyone have any advice. I've seen on Google earth some trails over a hundred miles which is awesome! But it's not what im looking to do this weekend. Were spending the weekend going mountain biking one or two days, shooting, fishing, and trying to do some wheelin in between and on the way.

I've heard there are lakes you can only get to in a 4x4 so that makes me happy.

Any suggestions or have any previous experience up there?

Hope I don't in trouble for this, some boards have issues referring to other boards but this is a kick butt place for .gpx files and places to go. Dude has been everywhere:

GPS Mapping

Coyote Flat is supposed to be nice.

Inyo NF - Coyote Flat

Laurel Lakes run at the bottom of the road to Mammoth is nice but 4wd is not needed for that run. Think there is fishing back there too. This place is AWESOME... even had a waterfall while we were there.

Keep searching on Inyo Forest and White Mountains.

Surf the site... Join the boards as good people over there.

Guide to Northern Cali Backroads items 32-43 should keep you busy. Load the way points into google earth to see where they go & if you are interested in going. I'd stay away from Bodie this time of yr. HOT, DANG HOT!
