Hear ya. If we were going to be there we would be doing the gate keeper this time. Dang PSC. Really my bust for not bringing extra fluid in the first place.

Our group was the perfect size for that run. Good stuff.

Have fun, look forward to the trip report.

No worries, we will meet up again. Its wheelin season in the lower desert for the next 3-4 months then up to the mountains to escape the heat.

You guys have a good time and take lots of pics/vids.

Hey Steve.....I'm not the only one that is probably going to pass on the Marble Canyon part of the day, so how about we set up a second rendezvous time and place of 1:00 p.m. at the dam? That will give you guys close to 4 hours to do the first half, and take in lunch if you get thru sooner. What do you think?

Just a little bit of rain here in victorville, and even that stopped a couple hour ago. Fritz said it was going to be like this......but it sounds better when Elita says it

Yeah, looking up from Redlands the snow line is very low...I would think the top half of the trail will have snow....

Saturday morning at 07:30, I couldn't see any snow on the mountain from here. 2N17x is a whole lot more doable without that slip and slide snow/mud added in.

Told ya you would have a great time. Will send the .gpx files from the weekend DaK adventures soon. Trip report formulating in the brain as this is being written.

We saw Jesus driving driving Honda on Goler just before you get to the good rocks. Have to wait for the DaK write up for the rest of the story.... They need to put the waterfalls back in. Keeps out the STOOPID!

Not sure exactly what u were trying to say in the second part of ur post ...but I think it sounds like u went to Panamint ....and ran Goler wash?
But yeah the waterfalls r starting to make a comeback ....just give it a couple more months and the weather will worm up ...the water will dry up and the gold miners that work the claim up there will rather stay home and drink then work ...lol
and the waterfalls will then come back...

Yep, that is where we were. Figured we were headed home might as well do Warm Springs, Mengal Pass, Goler wash to Ballarat.

What I was saying was we ran across this dude in a honda something or another and I stopped him and asked, "Where are you going?" We stopped him right after the turn off for the Barker Ranch. He goes, "Barker Ranch". I go, "You passed it, follow us. Oh is that thing AWD?" He goes, "No, it is 4WD." Puss bucket moron... was driving an AWD and it was about 2 inches from the ground. Anyways the dude has long brown hair, some cheesey mustache and looked as previously stated.

Oh, this other boy genius in Panamint asked us, "What kind of Jeeps are those?" This bright one was driving a Mustang GT on Ballarat road creeping along as we blew by him. Probably the only time and place a Jeep will kick a stang's arse but it was done. The guy that was with me goes, "they are JK's, this one is a 4 door and that one a two door." Captain Obvious then drove off.

Great job on the video. I loved it.
It was great wheeling with you.
Hope to see you on the next run.

I'm taking my rig on Wednesday to fix the tie rod. The traction control light is on, I think because of the tie rod and steering not being centered. I had a great time anyways.
Joe.
