Marble Canyon run today..

We had a great time with u guys today. We had a good turnout with 5 jeeps ...witch I don't think I'd want to many more then that for this run...its a nice long flat canyon that's nothing but rocks the entire length of the canyon. We had no serious breakage other then a taco'd stirring linkage and a leaky hydro ram...all n all not bad for this trail...
thanx Dave (DaK) for making the trip and a big thanx to all the guys for coming out for a great say of wheelin ...
We'll have to do this trail again sometime soon ..

U can actually see the east end of the Cleghorn trail up on the hill from this canyon ...
one locker, 33s, rock sliders and some lift is r thethe basic requirements even then the chance for a strap is likely ..

Oh cool a fun trail close to home...

I'll be keeping my eye out for this one. Just got some new rock sliders and they are way too pretty.

It was a great time and met some awesome people. Thing about this canyon no one's run through an obstacle is the same. On one obstacle we all had to take a different line due to the rocks moving so much under the rigs.

Don't forget the bent tie rod. Have never seen a winch used to fix that before. Nice trick and a good to know technique.

Where do you leave the highway for Marble Canyon? Is it further down the 173? It's been awhile, but that's where I recall we went into HV. Sounds good If we can get them both in on the same day...

Its actually off Arrowhead lakes rd ....I was thinking we'd meet at the spillway then go run Marble Canyon. After we run the canyon we'll take the pipeline road back to the Silver Wood dam and go up 2n17x...should make for a good run...what do u think?
This way u guys get to run some really good new stuff too...

We are gonna want another shot at this canyon too. Got the PSC "fixed" so need to see how that goes. This time, extra fluid and the right wrenches will be in the jeep so, that will never fail or be a problem again.

Have never done 2n17x so that would be something new.

Thanks, my brothers and I are doing 17x to Dishpan saturday. I really never get to go on the WF runs because we tend to drink a few beers while on the trail (parked ofcourse) and most of the members make that the 1st rule on their list!

Careful on Dishpan. We did 2N17x and Dishpan a few weeks ago. The ice made both a bit more challenging than normal. Dishpan had a lot of snow and I believe more is dumping up there now. We made it through 2N17x pretty easy but had to turn around on Dishpan because the trail was buried and very slippery.
