Great day trip!

What a great ride. 4wd was not really needed. But 4 high made the ride smoother. Great day trip, beautiful.

Had a great time, thanks for putting this together. I learned a nice casual route in the hills above SB. The views were incredible, even in the back eating dust. LOL
We do need to go back though, forgot to feed the ostriches!!

Link to the few pics we took.

I live in somis right in between camarillo and moorpark. I would love to join you guys next time. Nice to see some locals are on the forum! Today I was up the 33 trying to find my way to Jameson lake but everything was closed off for the environmental hikers unfortunately. Where did your Guy's trail begin? I would love to go explore out there

Please join us on our next run. We are looking to start a monthly gtg as well. Will post new thread soon, keep an eye out. As for.the run, it started on west camino cielo off the 154 in SB. Nothing hard, but clearance helped. The views were amazing and it is just good to get out with some good folks from here.
I have never heard of Jameson Lake, how far up the 33 is it? I love to fish so any new lake would be a welcomed destination.

Type it in on Google maps. It has forest routes going to it only so I assume its very remote. Its above carpinteria SB area

Hey thats my old backyard. Driven that road 100 times, there are some places that depending on how winter is are a little rutted, theres a nice hill climb and some big mud pit areas. Theres also some pretty good views. Not very technical. I might be down to take a run to the ruins. An old cabin near the trail with a pond... Last time I was up there was a year ago in a 4x4 tahoe and theres was some deep ruts and crossovers..

This sounds like fun, I will know more for sure as it gets closer. Where can you go up there though, I was just up there last weekend and couldn't find anything. I wanted to take 7n06 around the backside of Cachuma lake, but was told it was all private property.
