Don't need the bumper. Probably just bust it again. Skids? Definitely. And just carry an extra oil filter or two. Problems solved. Lol

[QUOTE=I H8RDS;3668293]Hi!! This is a special run for a couple reasons. We're going to be camped at my special place and it's the first run of the season. It's breathtakingly gorgeous where we camp. The road to camp is a dirt road. RV friendly. My friends have been taking their RV's for years. Nothing but big tall gorgeous trees surrounding us Everywhere!

Date: Friday May 3rd-5th
Camp location: Top of the mountain

It's Miller time!!!

***3 options on meeting places***

Option 1-

Friday-May 3rd-Meet at the Flying J off Interstate 5 at 4:15pm. From there, I'll take us to camp.
Address for the Flying J: 42810 Frazier Mountain Park Rd, I-5 Frazier Park Exit 205, Frazier Park, CA 93243

Option 2-

Friday- meet at the ranger station off Lockwood Valley Road.
Address: 34580 Lockwood Valley Rd. Frazier Park, CA 93225
From there, I'll take you to camp. ***Depending on how many people want this option, and we get a little closer, I'll decide on a time.***
I'm thinking somewhere around 7-8pm.

Option 3-

Meet us at the trail head of Lockwood/Miller on Saturday morning at 1030am.

(I realize options 1 and 2 aren't the easiest way to go, but if you're wanting to camp with us, it's worth it. You own a Jeep, put your Adventure hat on!!

Direction Details to Miller's trailhead:

This trail is southwest of Fraizer Park, west of Hungry Valley. The Flying J is right off Interstate 5 North at Fraizer Park. Get gas there if you need it. From there, it's around 7 miles to Lake-of-the-Woods. Turn left on Lockood Valley Road. There's a little market there on the corner that makes the BEST sandwiches and potatoe salad I know Nothing about coords; but if you're meeting us at the trailhead Saturday, the GPS Waypoint Coordinates are:

Latitude North: 34 44 07.3
Longitude West: 119 02 16.4

Make sense to you? (I really need to get a GPS)

Run Details:

Saturday

Be at the trailhead by 1030am. Run Lockwood/Miller. I'm so excited!! Can ya tell After we are done running Lockwood and Miller, we will be at the top of Alamo Mountain. It takes around 40 minutes or so to come back down the mountain which puts us in Hungry Valley.

Sunday

It's Gorgeous where we're camped. Trails 118/119 are right there. We can always putt around the mountain..there's deer and other 4 legged friends out there

Difficulty

Miller is rated Black Diamond. I've brought many stock rigs through Miller with no problems. I do recommend you have sliders. There are a few rocky areas and steep switchbacks. There's also some flat trail riding.

PLEASE POST WHEN YOU PLAN ON COMING AND WHICH OPTION YOU PLAN ON USING TO MEET ME. If you're planning on option #2 at the Ranger station Friday evening, post a good time for you. Based on the feedback from that, we'll decide on a time.

1. Lorie- I H8RDS *Option 1
2. Brandon & Savanah-Idriveoverstuff *Option 1
3. Kenny-iwaxmyjimmy- Friday night *(Option 1 *later)
4. Ryan-Mountainneer-*Option 1
5. Dwight & Lynda-Solvang100- *Option 3
6. Brad & Donna- HyperBrad- *Option 1 Friday
7. Joe-Jeepjoe22 * Option
8. Darrel-That_Titan_Guy *Option
9. Brandon & Britt-BrandonT- See ya up there Friday night

EXTREME MAYBES

Alright dude...you know this is where you need to put on your Crazy hat. For me, it'd almost be normal and expected...but ya need to get your co-workers to SEE and understand, that if they don't swap, you are literally going to go bonkers; and honestly, you will be of no value at work anyways. I mean..I'm just sayin Sometimes, people just don't understand how badly we really need to put our rigs in the dirt and on the rocks..not to mention surround ourselves with like people. It makes us more productive at work when we're there. You just need to talk their language.

I don't have any experience in this matter or anything

Believe me, I'm putting on the crazy hat! I really only need to switch my Saturday shift to make the run, I'd just have to leave around 9pm again like last time to make it to work Sunday. I'm going to make this work!

My co workers hate me in the days leading up to a run, I get so edgy. But then I'm only sane for a day or two after I get back. So they've become used to my insanity. For the most part. And customers just think I'm out of my mind when I start showing them pics of us wheeling. I get so excited!!!! Lol

I'm really going to try. The problem is there's a severe lack of people who can do my job in the mornings...

When I wheel, 99.9% of the time, I leave directly from work on that Friday at 230pm and I don't leave camp until Sunday late afternoon/evening. Part of the reason is b/c I normally have to drive so far.. but the other half of the reason is, I need to get the hell out of dodge (civilization) for a good 2 full days. And I prefer to do this every 2 weeks; 3 max. Anything longer, and I get really cranky.

This is an extremely good idea! I'll frame it up in the office and everything! I'm going to tell my boss that I need the weekend off to hang out with my dad since he's getting his official Sergeant ceremony this week. Heck, I might as well invite my dad at this point if I get the time off.

Hey, when it comes to wheelin', I can get pretty creative myself. I Love the framing and hanging up idea It's funny you should say that b/c my Entire office space is all Jeep...pictures of big groups I've led through the mountains and canyons, pics of 20+ rigs all staged out with everyone in front of their rigs, pics of me wheelin' and bumper stickers, Jeep grill post it holder...seriously, everything is Jeep. ...even how I mark off the days on my desk calendar- OlllllllO..and depending on how the day is going, is the color I choose LOL I am Way out of control! I even have a comic Jeep cartoon about the wave. lol

Seriously though...1 weekend a month is Not asking too much. They need to have another person trained.

That's totally awesome! My room is actually littered with Jeep stuff...mainly parts

I'm sure he's fine with me taking 1 weekend off a month, things have just been hectic since our general manager was fired and the assistant all of a sudden has to do everything. I was actually talking to him the other day and told him I'm going to help train a few more people to do my job so that I could have weekends off every now and then and he was supportive of it. I'm not going to push anything tomorrow, I'll take a look to see if it's possible for me to switch and if so I will. If not I'll suck it up and make sure I request time off for a run well in advanced.

Hopefully, all goes well tomorrow..and for at least all of Saturday and Sunday, so you can hang out and camp..and run pretty trails in the AM Sunday.

Next run will be Memorial Day weekend..I'm looking at Cougar Buttes at Johnson valley...

Ooooo, Johnson Valley is always fun! I got to play a little bit on Backdoor with my friends Jeep last time I was there! I'd be weary about taking my Jeep on anything out there besides probably Fissure Mountain, anything else would just be way too punishing with a pretty good chance of me breaking something.

I'm chatting with a buddy who knows his way around that area pretty well..there are a bunch of bypasses for stuff...nothing's set yet..when I get some definite details, I'll post up.

Right now, it's all about Sky Ranch and Miller!

Gaawwd, I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Up at 0400 so I better crash. 1 day closer to Heaven..Night buddy! Take your coworker to lunch tomorrow and have him cover ya for Miller

Sounds good! I might have the CJ-7 up and running by then, and it's completely built to handle anything, so who knows!

Good night!

Hahaha I hear yah! I talked to my buddy, and if we go out to Johnson Valley he might come, so I'll end up riding with him in his monster truck that is his JK! Big bear sounds awesome too! I'd be able to do a lot more out there in my Jeep!
