Misfits Adventure Pismo Beach

July 26, 27, 28 camping or day trips what ever suits you. Elmo should be arriving fairly early Friday I think.

Normal rules apply. I personally don't believe their are any special requirements needed for this trip. Just some fun friends and time in the sun.

Will try my best to keep this updated

Pismo Coast Village (888) 782-3224 is where our dear friend lablover suggests those of you who want to be in a rv resort type place book your reservations. It's the closest to the beach I believe.

Paso Mid State fair is July 17-28th, everything gets full during that time.

There's Coastal Dunes (805) 781-4900
and
Pismo Sands RV Park (805) 481-3225

Try one of those for that weekend or whatever other date you choose.

The RV parks being full shouldn't effect getting out to the Dunes. We get alot of people that come here for vacation and don't go out there. The majority of people that are in the dunes actually camp out there.

Hmmm, this looks interesting. May join you all. Anyone camping in the dunes? If so along the beach or behind the dunes?
I was just out there about two weeks ago and had a blast. Dunes have really changed since I was out there 5 years ago or so.

So how does this work? I've never been to pismo dunes. Is it open camping on the beach? Is someone taking a jeep count and saving room?

Could you fill us in a bit Lisa? Most of us haven't been there ever it in a long time. Do we need reservations for the beach? Or is it first come first serve?

I haven't camped down there before, I've always lived right down the road. I know on big weekends they sell out, I think it's first come first served. There aren't any marked camp sites, it's a free for all. I've seen big groups circle their RV's/tents and stake out areas with caution tape, rope or those colored flags.

They do make you go past a certain area to camp, it's marked with large signs. Look for Oceano State Beach or Dunes online and there should be a list of the rules and information. I believe it's $25 a night to camp and be sure you have your flag.

Does it have to be a certain color? I think it a coincidence but I have a pink one lol

I don't really know, you better check the rules. They have become very strict about certain things out there after having a few deaths over the years. It's actually a good thing, the safer people are the less reason they have to shut the area down.
