At tonight's South Bay mini Suds 'n Grub, we all were saying that we should do more of these kind of non-wheeling social gatherings, so let's hear what y'all think, and see if we can get something like this going on a regular basis.
If you're interested, post up and state your preferences for the following:
1. General Location
2. Day/Time
3. Frequency (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, etc.)
I'll start.
1. San Fernando Valley preferably, but I'd be willing to attend in Santa Clarita Valley to South Bay.
2. Any weekday evening
3. Monthly would be nice
And here's the tally....
San Fernando Valley:
1. yomondo - weeknights
Santa Clarita Valley:
1. yomondo - weeknights
South Bay:
1. yomondo - weeknights
2. BeantownR6
3. Landshark - weekend mornings
4. 2DEUCE2 - weeknights after March
Long Beach:
1. BeantownR6
2. 2DEUCE2 - weeknights after March
Based on the responses so far, who'd be willing to drive up to an hour one-way for a Saturday lunch-time Suds 'n Grub in Anaheim?
1. yomondo
2. donbadabon
3. 2DEUCE2
4. Landshark
5. JKim
6. turdhurdler
Oh, and suggest or vote for a different name if you'd rather call it something other than "Suds 'n Grub". I don't care what we call it.
- Jeep Junkie Night
- Brew N Chew
- Jeep Junkie Brew N Chew
- Jeep Peeps N Eats
Let's see how much interest there is in what locations, and see where it makes sense to have these things. "Floating Locations" might turn out more like "Multiple Locations" since most people probably won't float to the different locations but rather attend only the S&G's closer to them. If there's enough interest in multiple locations, we could do monthly S&G's in each location, on different days of the month so that people who do want to float to the different locations can do so.
I love the idea. Bay and valley area is a bit far for me. What if it were a floating location? One month OC, another LA area, Inland empire. Evenings are best for me, maybe a local pizza place or brewery/resturaunt. Monthly sounds best.

Anything is good with me, I would just not like to be accused of copying that bunch of idiots. And the floating idea is good to start, maybe narrow it down to the place more jeeps show up later. Possible areas: inland empire, the OC area, and maybe high desert?
sounds great, location is an issue for me i get out of work at 5 in the south bay so getting anywhere from here is a pain for me going north, south or east. at least a couple hours to go anywhere.
obviously southbay preferabley but could get to long beach to north OC or to anaheim. would not be make it to the valley or north of downtown LA.
I like the idea, but ill probably be out on this...Ridgecrest is not near ANYTHING. The closest place to me is probably Lancaster which is about an hour and 15 minutes lol.

Gotcha. Ive only actually been up there a few times. When I was younger my grandpa and I would bail out, and take his old CJ7 up to the general store and get a malt or something.
Call it Jeep Junkie night lol.
Floating works why not make it a Saturday or Sunday morning thing if week nights get tuff not like we all wheel every weekend!
I would be interested. I can't do anything on the weeknights just yet as I am still on graveyard shift, but I am switching to day shift in March. I will be scheduled to get off at 430, but that is never a sure deal. Lots of overtime in my business. Like Beantown, I'd be willing to do Southbay / Long Beach / Anaheim.
Okay North OC folks, you're up next. We had a great time at our Inland Empire Brew N Chew last night. We had 6 rigs and 7 people come out. Can North OC top that?
What's a good day for everyone? Suggest some venues in the North OC area. Some place that has beer and decent food, and preferably a big enough parking area where we can all park together or at least close by.
Orange County:
1. JPi1
2. BeantownR6
3. thetoadLJ - weeknights
4. donbadabon - weeknights
5. 2DEUCE2 - weeknights after March
Ridgecrest:
1. Cons_Table
Based on the responses so far, here's an idea. If everyone's willing to drive up to an hour one-way on a Saturday, maybe for lunch, I think the Anaheim area will work for everyone except Cons_Table (sorry dude). What do you think?

Does Sunday lunch in Anaheim work too? I was looking at Saturday 2/18, but some folks are putting together wheeling plans for that day, so how about Sunday 2/19 for our inaugural event (that still needs a name)?
Sunday the 19th in Anaheim works for me. I like JPi1's idea for "Brew and Chew"... it even rhymes.
