No problem Jesse, even though he's a friend of yours, we can let him join anyways

If he's on the forum, have him post up.

I was the only one to sign up so they canceled it. I was really disappointed. So they gave me my pick of anything except Holcomb. I chose John Bull.

I was thinking of doing Dishpan. I asked him about it. He said 2 flopped the day before and made for a long day. Plus I figured JB would be better with such a large group.

I'm going to try to make this one since I never get to go on this run. I'll have to see how the work schedule goes.

Hey Bill, I think I'm a strong maybe as well.
I haven't run this trail yet. It looks like a fun trail to run with good friends.

Joe.

I am a strong maybe. It all depends on the heat factor. Is this trail a high desert trail? If so it could be 100 degrees in July.

Yeah Jim, my only concern is the heat. The elevation is hard to figure out because you leave the highway at a good elevation and then drop down quite a bit to the trail head and work your way back up. Maybe Steve can give us an idea...regardless it is not a super long trail and its a fire road to and from. If anyone gets too hot, I will by them a beer at 7 Oaks

I hate to do this, but I'm a maybe too. There is a strong possibility my jeep will be out of service, getting some much needed attention (ie Jeep Mods).

Naw...that's just how the trail is.... Bwah ha ha!

The weather man is calling for mid 90s in the desert.... so I'd say it'll be in the upper 80s in Matino wash.... but the real feel will be more on par with the lower 80s given the breeze that blows through the wash...

Yeah, I recognized more than half of the obstacles, but I have only been there one time and there is extra credit stuff on every trail...Looks like fun and I hope Steve is right about the weather, that would be perfect

It's the extra credit stuff that makes Mottino. That big obstacle off to the right at about 500 yards in was missed by most of our group last time - approx 7 min into the video. Probably because it's not totally obvious that one could drive up it, Lol. Watching that video makes me want to leave right now.

Motino wash is one of the better Big Bear trails, we do a night run every summer.
Not all that hard or long, but definitely fun

Its always the extra credit stuff that makes the trail or gets you in trouble Sometimes when it looks like the trail has ended, it's just begun....

Okay, I will go back to the 7 min mark to see what we missed and so this time we don't miss it!

Don't worry Bill... we won't miss any of the harder lines.... I've run this trail about 8 times in the last year & half...
I'll let you know when they're coming up...
