Steve's meats and Wayne topless hmmm! Let me know how this turns out))

Wayne I did this one last year with my TOP on and I was fine like Steve said pick a good line and you'll do just fine. There is an extra credit section bout half way on the right side that'll put you up in the trees, stay away from that one

We would be coming from the 62 in 29 palms area. Anyone coming in that way?

I posted the time I will be at 2n01 and after I talk to Steve to verify what I see on the maps, I can PM you some directions to the trailhead. Like Steve said, its going to take us a while with 10 or so Jeeps and you have a heavy wheelin schedule planned You may want to push though so we don't hold you up...

Well, unfortunately I'm out. Fortunately it's because my good friend chartered a fishing boat out of Newport leaving Friday night and I'll be on it.

Have fun guys. I'll catch you on the next one.

Do you know how, when and where we can meet you on the trail since we are coming from Pioneertown, I know this can be tough since we are in the middle of nowhere.

Anyone else coming from that direction that I could follow?

I see that Burns Canyon meets 2n02 and then I think you head down Viscera rd to the canyon, is this right?

Thanks

You are correct Kieth... if I'm remembering your name right....and you'd want to talk to him about meetup with his group....
But if you'd like to meet up with my group coming from the desert side....I can meet you at the corner of Old Woman Springs rd and Bessemer mine rd at 8:40...

Ok, I'm bringing this guy and you're bringing that guy.....if everybody shows, we could have upwards of 20 Jeeps out there Saturday morning. Last one off the trail, put up the ALL CLEAR sign.

Well I think we have enough Jeeps....sounds like we have 13 on the original plus a couple more. I am heading out to 7 Oaks right now and reception will be spotty. I am assuming that if you are not meeting Steve, you plan on being at 2n01 / Hwy 38 to head down to the trail.

I plan on leaving the Oaks at 8 and to be at 2n01 by 830 and departing there by 9 to be at Matino by 930. If you can make it or something comes up my cell is 951.316.1560. Shoot me a text or let someone in the group know so we aren't waiting for people that are not showing...Looking forward to a great run!!

Thx, Bill

Hey Bill -- I did Cleghorn this morning and bent my long bar (AGAIN), but in a word, "I don't care" - I'm gonna try to bend it back someplace close to straight and wait until I finish beating it up at Mottino Wash before I replace anything. The guy at the tire / alignment shop gave me a good idea. He suggested welding a length of 1/4 or 3/8" angle iron on that bar to keep it from bending next time. See you Sat a.m. (o:

I'm out Bill, bent my sliders up into my rockers on John Bull. Gonna wait to pull these off and replace with some or-fab sliders. If it wasn't for the PSC body armor my rockers would be caved in from the crappy sliders I have on.

I just drug the full weight of my jeep about 2 feet on my gas tank skid today ... I'm surprise that it held up so well

So I ran GM today and started talking to some guy in a Hummer. He told me that he heard Rattlesnake Cyn was closed due to graffiti. Sounds like just a silly rumor to me but throwing it out there.
