what sliders you had?
Joe
I have some smitty built sliders, and i think the problem is they connect at only the front and rear body mount bolts, nothing in the center. They didnt last long at all and they are now junk, crooked and caved in.

Have you looked into these:

EVO: Bumper/Armor/Skids, Rock Sliders

Yes, they are pricey, but I bet they won't tweak

You know, these A holes need to be taught a lesson. Just like Black Canyon, they graffit'd the Petroglyph's with their crap... Where are headed in society that even places like this are targets. It's bad enough that they use the fwy signs as their "canvas"....

Here's a question: What you do if you can across these guys painting their crap on trails?

Do you have a camera on your phone? That and the license plate of the vehicle they are in should be enough for a conviction. Unless you have plenty of back up, I would not recommend approaching them.

And report their vehicle to 1-800-oily cat....as gross polluters.... too!

That'll give them something to think about...

That's what I thought as I remember. I have those too. I did bend one side at one time. I took it back to 4wheelparts and told them that there must be a default in it, because it should not bend like that. They replaced it for me for no charge.
You are right they are low and no middle attachment, they do tend to bend if they hit hard. I will ultimately change them when I bend the crap out of them.
Joe.

These are good, however they weld to the frame. The tubing is the same thickness as the smittybilt ones.
Have you seen the ACE http://www.aceengineeringandfab.com/...Door_p_15.html
These are made of stronger and thicker tubing. No welding, they get bolted to the three frame body mounts.

Yes I have, but some people like these and some say they still hang down too low. Then I saw Gary's sliders (Hwy1rubi) he has the ORfab sliders these mount almond the pinch seam and to the rubi rail bolt locations. They tuck way under, Im guessing at least 3" higher than the ace or Smitty rails. The pipe wall Is also thicker than the Smitty built. They run about 600. Same as the Evo's

Don't you already have the Poison Spyder skins? From what I hear the Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers are pretty sweet and would compliment those nicely.

Was a go.od day.. scott and mark found a guy to weld his track bar bracket and he's up and running...

Like the trail and with the extra credit lines its a fun run....running a under geared 6speed proved to be fun lol...learned to use the ebrake for resistance and worked well...

What a great day of wheelin. Definitely one of my favorite trails now. Really enjoyed the loop at the end too.

Only got 3 pictures but here they are.

What about the lil Side trail Woxnrox/ Steve did somewhere near the beginning of Rattlesnake canyon?.
I know there is a dead end trail a lil ways before Motino, that's kinda fun

We skipped that because we were running a lil late. We ended up doing a little loop afterwards (2n26y?) that was pretty nice though.

Thanks to Bill for calling the run, and thanks to Steve for helping out! That was a great run yesterday! I was exhausted when I got home. I need to add better shocks to the list so I don't get beaten up on the fire roads.

One thing I like about that area is that, unlike the Big Bear area, you don't end up in a traffic jam out there. It makes it more relaxing when there's nobody out there except for your group. The downside of course, is that it takes a while to get out there.

Here's the few pictures that I took.

Thanks Bill for posting this run and Steve on getting us through.
It was a great run with all the good old friends and some new ones I met.
Also thank you for all your patience and help in changing my busted tire.
