Hi everyone, my gf and I just got our first JKU. We are getting 2.5 lift with 35" tires. We are from Orange County, can anyone suggest any near by trails to test out our new jeep?
Fraser Park at the top of the Grapevine, Holy Jim Canyon.,the Divide Road, enter off Ortega hwy near San Juan Forest Station, stop in there and pick up a map. You could always go to Anzio Baraga , there are plenty of trails there... Welcome to Jeep fun...........
Frazier Park as well as neighboring Hungry Valley OHV (go here first) are good places to get started. Just watch out for lots of goons riding quads drunk on the weekends.
I post all of my runs here in the California section and on The NotARubicon! Facebook page.. Keep an eye out.. We've got an easy beginner/sight-seeing run coming up in a couple of weeks!
Welcome to the form! Great to see more people from the OC getting on! I go to caddy hill and Holy Jim just about every weekend. Its a great beginner run with a few areas of intermediate difficulty that keeps it fun, plus its our closest local trail.
Shoot me a pm if you want to join
Also Cleghorn is a lot of fun and Silverstone lake was a great beginner run that ends just down the road from cleghorn. Main Divide and the trail that goes to the top of Saddleback are scenic, haven't done those in a while but I would be down to go
In OC Holy Jim trail is a nice easy beginner trail you can do stock
