I stopped waving to stockers a long time ago. If a jeep is lifted nd on rims nd MT tires ill consider it but only if a wave is initiated first. But i do get waves for alll jeeps in big bear soo that good.
all my friends call me COOP a LOOP! Feel free to do the same.
I am new to the Jeep world but have lived in cali for 15 years now. A lot of the jeep owners here in San diego dont wave at all. Only waves i get are from other wranglers. My jeep is stock at the moment so i do understand if i dont get waved at. But i try to initiate the wave when i see another jeep. I wont wave if i dont get eye contact from the other person though. Actually yesterday morning on my way to work a 4 door jk lifted, off road tires, and covered in mud was passing me on the freeway, so i actually rolled down my window, stuck my hand out and waved as he passed me. I still didnt get acknowleged by him. Even though this happens almost everyday, i still wave just because thats how i am. I do get a wave from every wrangler owner thats also in the military though, even if i am all stock. Thats just my .02
I'm loving Cali!! I only wave at Wranglers/CJs. I don't like when Cherokee, Liberty or other "Jeeps" wave. If they wanted to be a part of the Club, they should have bought a real Jeep. I have owned 3 Jeeps so far. I found more people waved when I had my CJ 7and more so when I lifted my 99 but on the East Coast almost all Jeep owners wave. Just weird that they don't out here. Kind of disappointing.
Why is it that Jeep owners in California do not wave to each other? I can understand NEW Jeep owners cause they might not know Jeep etiquette but older Jeep owners should.
Too damn busy talking and texting on the cell phone. LOL. I wave but most of the time when it is another off road person they will wave back but when it is a SS mobile they don't wave back so I just wave if they do. Kinda like the old world of 1% ers! Lots of jeeps few of them seem to really get driven and used as they were designed I am blaming the government for this LAMO! You can tell a true of road jeep it normally has mud sand scratches and dings and the owner is proud of it!
If you have not Broken it yet you are not trying hard enough!
But enough about me. Let me tell you about my Jeep.

Don't blame the rest of us for a few that don't wave. I have been a Jeep and Willys owner for over 25 years and I wave at all Wrangler type Jeeps short of mall crawlers. Try waving first next time. Sometimes I miss one or two myself but only because my mind is somewhere else, like thinking about my next off road trip. I am not trying to be rude but if you are in an area that some of there noses are a little high then keep waving and they might start dropping them and wave.
It is just the SOCAL area most likely. All us Jeep owners in the central valley wave, honk, hoot, haller, thumbs up, heck I even forget when driving my truck I am not in the jeep and wave at other passing jeeps. I do notice that the stock wrangler owners who are new to jeeps occasionally fail to wave but I wave anyway, how else are they going to learn what being in the fraternity is all about.
