Here's the address Elmo, it's in Highland. I think it's a Shell though, not Chevron.

Go to the truck stops for a cb. I got a cheap one for 40 and it works fine. The antennae is additional and I couldn't tell ya how much. They are easy to install too. I would say less than $100 for everything. Unless you have to have those crazy hi end talk for ya ones. Lol. Sorry you're not able to make it.

He's fine, just got car sick really bad. I gave him a half of a Dramamine before we left too. Guess I need to stick to lower elevations or drive slower next time. I figure if I drive half way then rest for 20 minutes or so, hopefully he would be fine.

How was the run? What trails did you guys end up doing?

Run was fun, got two punctures on my jeep and not sure what happened to "inland air balance" he couldn't shift into gear. Happened after we passed the waterfall. He was towed back down and we finished the run, had a slight navigation problem and went into the wrong rock garden... After all that we made it to 3n16 and cruised all the way to crab flats and finished into green valley. All in all it was a great run, can't wait for the next one. Thanks to everyone who showed up and helped myself and "inland air balance" out. Really appreciate it. Hopefully see you guys in two weeks in joshua

Thanks for getting me off the hill. I'm not sure what's going on in my transfer case, I just hope it's not bad or expensive, sure doesn't sound good though. Sorry about holding you guys up.
Thanks for helping me. Beers on me.
I'll bet the next time a newbie asks to tag along you'll think twice.
Your definitely some of the good guys. It's nice to know there are people like you out there. Representing the sport in in a positive light.

Hey that's what it's all about. Meeting new people and helping out. And I was a newbie once and they have gotten me this far. I think the guys like training newbies. They have taught me a lot and I love them all for it. I am now able to help others with things I had no idea about on my first run. You are welcome to come with is anytime. Besides what man doesn't like "trying" to fix something lol. Just kidding. Um ah maybe, lol maybe not. Since I usually the only girl I get to talk a little crap. Haha. Nice meeting you Dave.

Despite all the casualties today and the ran over toes. It was a great day. Thanks Geo for setting it up. And for dinner. We all owe you. We all had a great day.

Rhonda thanks for the spare, send me a pm with your address and number. Let me know if today around noon is ok to drop it off. Dave thanks for joining us and don't worry about "slowing" us down. It happens. The good thing about this sport is that its a great community with great friends to learn from and help out. Hope it doesn't deter you away. Let me know when your ready for another run. HOpe you can get your jeep up and running that way you can come out with us to the Joshua tree run on Dec 18.

Thanks

Great time out for the Misfits. I think we all had a great time. And hey thanks for dinner. We never expected you to foot the bill. We all help out cause that is what it's all about. Making new jeep friends and helping others. Dave and Geo it was nice meeting you both. And anytime you need something get ahold of us. We all try to help out when we can. We have done many things on our jeeps and helped out others with theirs. If we can help out we will. Heck a couple of the guys even went and got a guy out of a bad situation where his truck had been stuck for like two weeks. Lots of skill full people in our group. Willing to lend a hand.

I think it's something about Gold Mountain ... it's an easy enough trail but something always ends up happening ... remember the last M&G?

Probably because a stocker can make it, but because it attracts stock vehicles, they don't have as many upgrades and more likely to have something break.

Plus, I think Gold Mountain since last Spring is harder than the year before. The trails change all the time. Sometimes they get easier, sometimes harder. I ran Gold Mtn on Friday at the last M&G and thought it was harder. I talked to a few others that agreed.

Missing yesterdays run has gotten me real anxious to go wheeling again. Next stop for me will be Borrego with Kota. I can't wait!
