Plus, I think Gold Mountain since last Spring is harder than the year before. The trails change all the time. Sometimes they get easier, sometimes harder. I ran Gold Mtn on Friday at the last M&G and thought it was harder. I talked to a few others that agreed.

Missing yesterdays run has gotten me real anxious to go wheeling again. Next stop for me will be Borrego with Kota. I can't wait!
Wasn't the stockers that were having the problems on that run. It was raining though, so that added to the mayhem!

Ouch... Brocken differential covers! Thats a big oui on a trail, the blown tires: i impaled my left side tires on a fallen snag and punctured the sidewalls...

The diff cover was mine. It was raining when we were going up the last big section ... slipped off the rock and landed on my pumpkin. Didn't break, just bent enough to leak. But it was slow enough of a leak that I made it home...

The bent tie rods didn't belong to our group but still slowed us down. We had 3 groups converge on us while we were in the rock garden fixing a flat. One group of drunkards tried to go where they had no business and a guy tore up his tie rod and drag link.

I forgot that I had another Jeep from the other group run into mine while we were stuck there too.

I think that Rick might be onto something the more I think about it. Not necessarily that Gold Mountain attracts more stockers, just more people in general. There had to be nearly 100 rigs on the mountain that day, and we all hit the rock garden at the same time.

Ok, I remember that day. We didn't have any breakage, but I remember the pouring rain. We were running Dishpan and Holcomb. We had just started Holcomb when the rain started. Lots of people without tops. I was glad to have a soft top that day.

x2

Wish it was at least twice as long. Makes it a good start or end trail though.

I remember that day, if it was the meet & greet. We were in a different group I think, but got poured on. It was fun, wet, muddy and slippery.....but so much fun I had black trash bags tucked under the spider shade as a rain barrier roof, it worked great until it puddled and drained right over my head My only worry was my camera, I covered it and enjoyed the fun.

For Christmas "santa" put a nice rain poncho in my stocking, haha. It made me crack up when I opened it.

Mike just got home from BB. I couldn't help but check out the Mazda for any sign of off road adventure as I took out the garbage. Looks like he kept to the paved roads like he was supposed to
