Have fun. Is filming for pleasure, hobby, or job? Just curious, I used to do some industrial stuff.

If you want to go on a weekend, let me know.

There are some fun trails around Arrowhead. Try looking for Pilot Rock, Crab Flats, Deep Creek to name a few. Big Bear has quite a bit also. For beginnes or guys/gals without aggressive tires, I would recommend a max of Gold Mountain. Technical, but fun. We did it on our Meet n Greet at the end of July. Only need the strap a couple of times for a couple people.

I want to. Gotta make sure the funds are there. Got holidays coming up and kids that want all the latest gizmos. If we do something very local, I am up for it. Going to Bakersfield is not going to be happening for a while.

This weekend is already booked, but I am good after that. I work Sunday thru Thursday. So a Friday or Saturday run is better for me.

If you guys want to get together on the 23rd we should plan on it since a lot of us can go that day (Jeff). Cleghorn is fun and there are some more trails up behind Lake Silverwood. Let's stay in touch and see who is interested in this.

Are there any closer trails that we could meet at. I would suggest one in between us where we can camp out and do a 2 day off road mini trip.

I am in for Cleghorn. The difficulty ranges from Honda Civic do able to pucker factor. The main trail is a maintained fire road. There are bypasses for the more technical stuff. If you see something that makes you think twice, you always have to option of driving around it on the main road.

I have a soccer game in the morning on the 23rd. I am thinking we could meet at the MacDonalds/Chevron at the Hwy 138 and the 15 Fwy around 11:30 and go on from there. We can cover the entire ridge in a couple of hours or so. Keep us all posted of who is interested in going.

Back when I drag raced motorcycles my wife would take her cbr 600 down the track too. This pic is one of the first times we lined up against each other at Famosa raceway. I am seriously thinking about going even though it's a trip for me. Has any body heard of BC109 I think it's at the bottom of the grapevine, I could be wrong?Maybe it's a trail close enough for all of us to go run.

What about Miller Jeep Trail (N34 45.578 W119 02.987)? A fun challenging trail, and about the same distance for QtMcShorty as it was for some of us last weekend at Last Chance Canyon. And the trail run drops you off at Hungry Valley SVRA which has a fun little 4WD playground for those who've never been there. I don't remember if there are any designated camping areas along the trail, but I think the location works well for a day run for most of us in this discussion. Although Hungry Valley has plenty of camping space if you want to make it an overnighter (i.e. party!).

Unfortunately for me though, I can't get out for a day run until 11/6 at the earliest, and I won't have a weekend available until 12/4 when camping in those parts starts turning into a test of survival, although I do enjoy snow shoeing and snow camping every winter up around that area.

I have a hockey game that evening, but since this is a relatively quick trail run, if we can get an early start (i.e. hit the trail by 10:00am) I can probably swing it.

As for the Miller Jeep Trail / Hungry Valley overnighter in December, I'll need to review my prior GPS tracks and work out the details then I'll post it up. Come to think of it by December it normally still doesn't get terribly cold or wet so that should probably be a good time.
