I didn't have my first drink until I went to college and I don't drink anymore because everyone around me gets deaf when I do (or I get loud, either or).

Ah, High School and MD 20/20. such memories.... Well there should be memories, but I can't honestly say there are any. I think I burned off a few brain cells back then.

Tiny, I totally respect people that don't drink. It just happens that it's my medication of choice these days. I find that I need a little medicating from time to time to releave the stress that comes with my new job. But I only do it when I'm in a safe environment and will never drink and drive. I'm and example for my kids, and I try to be a good one.

I didn't stop drinking for any noble reason or anything. I'm a bit of a fitness nazi and I just refuse to waste the calories on booze. Sugar is my medication of choice

Hey now! It's good beer. Granted - the styles Chuck and I prefer are not for the timid - but it's still some good stuff!

I am very grateful when I get free beer and jeep parts!
At least I provide comedy and turn the occasional wrench. Granted - you usually have to fix what I f-up!

Funny, I used to be a painter, and worked with many a house painter. They are all high. Either drunk, or otherwise. Well not maybe ALL , but I'm going to say 90%.

When I say painter, I mean mountain lion. I was born in Jersey and that's what they were called.

After 3 pages of off-topic rambling, can we please get bck on topic?

Tiny, there is really no need to worry. I did Holcomb Creek with stock 31.5" tires (which are actually about 28") and never got close to hitting my rock rails. You'll be fine with your 2" lift and your tires. Here's a picture of me going through the rock garden in Lower Larga Flats with my stock tires:

Have you done it at night? It's a completly different trail when the sun goes down. I think the trail gets narrower and the rocks get bigger....

Yes but last I heard most of them are still dying. Between the sustained drought up there and the japanese bark beetle...

You call mountain lions "painters" ?

Are wolves "carpenters" ?

I'm sorry.

Is there any history as to why they're called painters ? Is that slang for panthers maybe ?
