Nor Cal love?

Just did Carnegie with 3 Jeeps and an Xterra. Not a whole lot to see there but it's still a blast to camp. If anyone has dirt bikes/atv's there are hundreds of miles of trails through there. It's 20 minutes from my house so meeting up should be a cinch.

If anyone is interested let me know.

If there are any other trails in the bay area (sf) that allow camping let me know. It's just convenient/close to home for me to roll to Carnegie. Also, if anyone breaks down (raptor-jesus forbid) the parts are close.

newbie jeeper

I live nearby...Pleasanton. I was thinking about getting out there for a first off experience.

Questions
1. Given a Bone stock 2012 Sahara Unlimited and never "wheeled" what should I expect?
2. My daughter (4 years old) really wants to drive off road (she is in love with the jeep and the idea of driving in the mountains) I hope to take her but hope that the trails are "easy/soft" for her safety.
Thanks

I have a stock 2012 Sport and did have some real good fun. Even though I have done some wheeling on my Jeep before but driving across all that mud was quite a novel experience for me. That place has all sorts of trails, you can stay within your comfort zone or could get a tad adventurous and try to explore the limits of your rig.

Sahara is much more capable than my Jeep, if you have rock rails on yours then it might be worth crawling on top of the pile of rocks they have kept over there, that was quite an exhilarating experience.

I'm in Danville and interested in going out to Carnegie some time. Recently modified my 06 Wrangler that has never been off pavement - very "newbie".
