Eagle lakes is always a fun run. Erosion has made even the bypass for the one hill a little tricky, but still do able. I would like to run signal peak this year as well.

I'm liking this droze! New territory! I may be too far to help with the souting, but I could help to spark interest in a trail run if you're up to leading this run. Difficulty? Pinstriping? Will stock rigs make this?

ok i will be willing to head up either. lets find out what more people would be up to do and i will scout one of them on the july 14-15 and we can start a thread to make the run on july 28 or 29th if that would work for everyone.

here is a short description of the 2 trails plenty of other can be found along with videos on you tube. lets get a vote for which most of us would like to do and i will go out and scout and get pics and a good description for everyone. High lakes is defiantly an any vehicle trail with difficult spots to get to some lake and signal peak is all around moderate lets see what everyone is up for .

I have a lot going on in July, so I may have to skip this one. Will be getting back from the Hollister run on the 22nd, so funds will be tight for July. August would be better for me.

ok, i can do august as well. what would be a good weekend? anyone thinking of a preferred trail for the run yet?

highlands has easier main trails, Signal peak has a rough beginning but after that is a nice trail run. depending on which direction you enter from after finishing signal peak you can do eagle lakes or the first section of fordyce.

Pretty much any weekend in August works for me. I think Signal Peak would be a blast, but I think you'll get a better turnout with the High Lakes trail IMO. How much snow is usually left in the summer months at the High Lakes trail?

beginning of may there was still 3ft of snow left should be melted by now. I will say High lakes it is and start a thread shortly here.

Ill scout it the second week of july to get a better feel of the area since it was covered with snow the only time i have been there.

We discussed making a run with some camping in August or Sept on the coast... I believe it is still on the drawing board... I'm sure you will know when it happens.

Yes, the coastal run is in the works. If this High Lakes run comes about, I think the coastal run should be September'ish.

So it turns out I am good for labor day. I had my months wrong, I will be in Washington for a wedding Oct 6-7th. So I'm good for all of September.
