Cool shots. Looks like fun. I was just talking with the extended family about a trip to pismo. We tend to go up to Oregon dunes every couple of years but we have never done pismo. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We tend to avoid crowds if we can so is there certain times that are better than others? Also are there good campgrounds nearby? Thanks for the help. When I make it there I'll post some photos here.

Be very careful with that strap that has a metal hook on the end, the hook will be a bullet if the strap should break.

I am a local to pismo and if you want to avoid the huge, huge crowd, do not come for any 3 day weekend or holiday. Come on a weekday(s) and have the place to yourself. You can camp at the beach in trailers or tents and there are also multiple. If you want someone to wheel with, send me a pm, a wheel with another guy on here it would be cool to meet up. hope this helps

Are you kidding me? That looks incredible! I need to move out to Arroyo Grande ASAP. Any teaching jobs out there?

You can check with Lucia Mar School District, that covers Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Oceano, Pismo Beach & Grover Beach. I have a sister in law and best friend that are teachers, both have had to go to Santa Maria/Bonita School districts to get jobs. Worth a shot if you really want to live here in paradise

I want to go there so bad! Hopefully next summer I will be able to make the trip up to Northern California and stop there on the way back. I want to take a week long trip up the coast and back.

I think it's still $3.00 to get onto the beach, I'm not sure the camping fees since I live here I don't camp down there. You may be able to find the information online.

You will also need a flag and need to pay attention to the speed limit, they are very strict on that.

It's $5 for day use and $10 for overnight. It's a lot of fun, but gets windy. Flags are required out on the dunes. Yes, avoid the 3 day weekends, it's a circus!

I should have known that, duh My dad buys a yearly pass and I just use that if we go out. I'm surprised they kept it $10. for camping, I'm sure they will eventually raise that too.
