Hey guys, I'm heading back out with my son the 26th to the 29th. Looks like we will be staying at the Ironwoods again. I think we should hook up for some wheeling, I know I want another shot at the Blow Sand rocks, and check some other trails. I saw a creek crossing on youtube but have no idea where it is.

Hey Gary, You know where to find us. That creek crossing is probably Coyote Canyon in the Anza Borrego State Park. You Tube Coyote Canyon or the 3rd crossing at Coyote Canyon. It's not what it used to be, the rangers rerouted it to take you around the tunnel of trees where the deep water was. There are 3 water crossings on that trail and a fun rock ladder beyond. We took Dan and Tamey up that Thanksgiving Day.

Let's go play in the creek Grant, pretty sure I can find your pad again. Great fun last time and looking forward to the return.

My son Jeremy will be with me this time. We get there early on the 26th and will be wheeling each day until the 29th.

Desert Ironwoods Motel, it is kind of across from Blow Sand and the Ranger Station.

Where will you be camping?

I'll be a couple miles down the road I forgot what the name of the campsite is but it's a huge campsite with two bathrooms we usually stay on the other side of the hill from there to get away from people haha

And rob that's good to hear 11 days is way to long I rode my motorcycle for a couple days last week and every time a jeep passed me all I could think is man I'd look like an idiot giving the jeep wave on a bike

Sure, we can do that and go on up to Sheep Canyon. There is a palm oasis up there. Then to the calcite mine and the Truckhaven training area for the afternoon follies.

I will also be out there staying just north of Holmes camp the 27th-1st. Coyote Canyon is north of Borrego Springs. Check out the Tom Harrison map for San Diego county. There is an app for it that shows most of the trails in the state park and Octillio.
