Quake near Borrego; no damage reported
An earthquake occurred near Borrego Springs this morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3, was centered about four miles west of Borrego Springs. It occurred at 4:24 a.m.
A San Diego County Sheriff's Department dispatcher says no injuries or damages were reported.
Dustin Olehowski, a golf pro at De Anza Country Club in Borrego Springs, said he did not feel the quake. "But I'm a pretty deep sleeper," he added.
An employee at the Krazy Coyote Saloon & Grille in Borrego said she didn't feel anything either.
