Saw it and set my DVR to record the series!

Pretty cool to watch!

They have one guy that's an expert wheeler, another that's a survival expert. At the start of the show, they have to find the Jeep (which was rolled onto it's side). Then they have to try to get back to civilization in 3 days.

Lots of winching, some water crossings. One part they had to waterproof the Jeep for a deeper water crossing. Sponsored by Jeep of course...

I'll only buy that it's 'real' if they actually get stuck somewhere and don't make their deadline.

I'll have to lookup the build.

I checked it out. I had some issues with the hosts, they didn't really seem to click.
And neither one of them seemed to know what a Jeep is capable of. Way too much brush clearing, and at one point when they were in the mud it looked like they were in 2WD.

There also didn't seem to be an urgency in the show. They had 3 days to get out, but I never felt they weren't going to make it.

I am sticking with it to see if I like it more. Next week they start of on a volcano, which should be pretty cool.

I want to know what size fuel tank that bad boy has. All that wheeling and revving. I wonder it they are going to make petro from rubber trees? Still entertaining to watch though as they McGyver their Jeep to get out.

I think it was even a 4 cylinder too! Guess they would save some gas that way.

You can watch the whole episode on discoveries website. I linked to it from Hulu. It was cool to watch them do some of the stuff though.

There is something... off... about the 2 guys. Wu seems to know a good deal about wheeling, but also seems to be a tad bit ignorant at times. You want to like him, but you can't help but feel that you'd do a better job than he does! Maybe its because he refuses to get dirty, and makes the Brit do all the work while he sits around. I think it just doesn't click for me to be into wheeling but prissy when it comes to getting a little dirty, maybe that's what makes Wu weird. I think it will get better, though. Set the series to record.

Wu would not get a second invite for any wheeling group I was organizing. For just one example... when Wu wouldn't eat fresh fish with his fingers and had to use chop sticks so he wouldn't have to touch it with his fingers, well that was just a little too much for me.

Anyone who noticed all the unnecessary drama as I did only needs to realize that it would have never been picked up for broadcast by TLC and it would not be renewed if it didn't have any drama.

Pretty much like all of the reality shows they torture the public with.

I watched this show for the first time last night, about the first 10 minutes is more like it. That show is beyond lame in my opinion.

I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite shows, but I'm still going to watch it.

If you only watched the first 10 minutes, you missed a fix for a broken axle shaft -- they rigged up some tree branches to make sort of a sled for the drivers rear. That part was pretty interesting.

Besides, they're driving a Jeep!

Yeah, I watched the first 2 episodes last night. It is definitely overly dramatic and has its weak points, but like you said its a Jeep and fune to watch what they put it through. Its recorded so I dont have to watch the commercials.

As much as I am enjoying this show, everytime they call the Jeep a car I want to hit someone in the nuts.

Yeah, how could I forget to mention that...its driving me nuts. They named the show with "car" in the title and its sponsored by Jeep and yet...they say car all the time....How could Jeep let that happen?

That is most likely because they broke the dana 35 and everyone knows how to get home with that problem by using something to hold the axle in.
