What is the JKX?

I have a tentative plan for the rubicon next summer. It depends on how my Oregon trip goes in march/April.

Anyone know if there are bypasses for all the hard stuff? Some people on JF are asking.

I remember some bypasses, just not sure if all the obstacles have them.

That's not exactly right.......some people have a hard time at either end of that trail too. As far as I know, no bypass for either.

Yeah...I guess your right but neither end of that trail has ever given me trouble so I guess that's why I didn't consider them..

On the 1st obstacle if you stay to the right your good...with no worries... on the last obstacle give some spotting and you'll be fine..

I have never had an issue with the front end (even with totally open diffs), but I have had trouble at the far end a couple times. Especially when the snow sets in. LOL

The meet: Saturday 28th @0930

The Mc D's is at: 3230 Wagon Train Road Phelan, CA 92371 It's right off the 15 at the 138.

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...nia+92371&z=16

trail head GPS: N 34 18.314W 117 18.586

The google map (awesome by the way) looked like it was right by the trail/dirt roads.
WE ARE STARTING WITH 2N17X, NOT CLEGHORN.

Difficulty: I have only run it once and was pretty new when I did it. At that point I was open/open on 2.5" lift and 33's. It was my 4th run or so and first run with a lift and some armor. I did find it difficult. Steep climbs, some with a ledge half way up a climb. We had a few stockers (TJ and JK) with us. A stock LJ Rubicon (similar to TJ) couldn't make it up a few of the climbs, even locked. He and many of the other stockers had to take a few bypasses, but made it. Still a fun run even if you have to bypass some stuff.

Is it an easy/beginner run? No. Again, I've only done it once about 2 years ago, so feel free to chime in if you disagree. I tend to be on the paranoid side. So I would want a lift and at least 33" tires. A locker would be helpful, but not required. Here's what I got so far on who's

Going:
Suicideking
Zombiehunta
Longnose359
Billg.OTD
XJ Phil
Big Vic
Sinisterphoto
Cgcarpenter

Maybe:
530KTM
