Pilot Rock 2N17X Saturday 9/28

Zombiehunter and I will be running Pilot Rock 2N17X on Saturday 9/28 at 9:30 AM.

Meetup at Mc D's off the 15 and 138 at 9:30, we will then head to the trail head which is about 10 - 15 minutes away.

Our plan is to take 2N17X to arrow head, then end up in Big Bear, possibly do Dishpan or whatever we have time for.

Suggested requirements:
Lift, 33" tires. A locker would also be helpful. I made this run open on 33's and didn't have to bypass anything.

Going:
Suicideking
Zombiehunter

Here's a video that Plukethe2 made of our run almost 2 years ago.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too when watching that video: Hey there's Bill: Different bumpers, wheels, rails, axles... But the body is the same I guess.

Then looking at mine, pretty much the same. I think the only things I still have from that video are my control arms and skid plates.

I always like Plukes vids, cause he uses music with good beats to it. He made one the one time we wheeled with him and his dad at Bullfrog. His choice of music and editing did it for me. Hell, I don't even know how to post a picture on here, but it's on my bucket list to learn. So with all that said Rick, Candy and I wanna go. Mark.

I can hardly recognize them...
I think for the most part the only thing that didn't change was the color...lol

It's always fun to watch old videos just to see what your jeep once looked like.

Right on Mark! Glad you two can make it!

I don't know what happened to Pluke. The Pilot Rock and Bullfrog runs were the only ones I ran with him. Him and his dad make a good team and his videos are really good!

Last I heard he got banned or something?

So true. I do have hopes of someday painting it some sort of camo, so maybe the color will change one day too!

Would love to run this on Sat. but don't think the Jeep is ready yet. We just got our JKU and so far the mods are only 265/7017 KM2's and a 2.5" lift.

You're close. Is it a Rubi or have limited slip rear? 265 / 70 is 32"?

Yeah, they definitely look different. No problem with Hijack. I'm usually the one to hijack a thread.

Here's mine as it was in that video:

Yes I like the idea of an evolution of a vision thread myself. I created my own thread on the other jeepforum website. However it would be cool to have one thread were everyone puts up their before and after. Only problem with that is after usually means the end. So, when does it ever end?? Lol.

We have a Sport with 3.73's and the limited slip. I swapped the original Goodyear Wranglers for the 32" 265/70R17 KM2's on 10A take-offs. Been waiting a month for my TNT rock slider/steps. It's a project, one step at a time.
