Very cool, thanks for the insight and that all makes sense now. Yep I'm more than aware about the infighting and territorial disputes going on within CA4WD right now and it's a shame. Kind of like the war between the north and the south. CA4WD needs completely new leadership, that is for sure.

And as I mentioned in my post about that lizard, you must have missed where I mentioned it was a Chuckwalla. They look enough like a Gila Monster that they startle and scare the crap out of me half the time.

I have a Doberman mix. She used to be about 80 lbs. of pure muscle. Also had a 4' iguana. Always amazed me when people were more afraid of the iguana than the Dobie. But then again- the iguana wasn't on their face.
(But the Chuckwalla must've liked you Jerry. My iguana's favorite place was on top of my head. We called it the lizard mohawk.)

Looks like we're going to Calico. That's cool cause I missed out doing both Odessa and Doran on the same day. As we get closer I am really going to start thinking about doing the Gatekeeper, if I can get some spotters who have done it before. Or at least spotted for it.

It is looking like Calico is going to be the canidate, woo hoo!!! Just checked for camping availability at Calico and looks like a lot of open spots there if anyone wanting to stay at the ghost town. Of course there is free camping all over if you wish to go that route. Looks like only 2 cabins left, both bunk houses open.

Just rented the mini cabin for my wife and our friends, who just bought a 2010 JKUR.

Looks like Calico is going to be the winner, but my question is this. Have you decided which weekend in March to do this. I'm leaning towards the last one, as my Birthday is March 31st. Lol. And as an added Bonus, I'm actually off that weekend. Just saying. Lol

Dates are for the 22-24 of March. People are already booking camp sites at the Ghost Town. Hope you can make it out.

Any chance you can get your on call shift covered? Still 3 months away.
