Thumbs up Rain report for the high desert

It has been lightly for the last hour here in Ridgecrest, how about where you're at?

We really need the rain so I say bring it on!

Raining pretty good outside of Barstow right now. The folks hitting Calico should have a good time this weekend!

Over here on the coast we got a good pour last night, but only for a little while. It did rain a little off and on the rest of the night. We're about 5 inches shy of normal so everyone's pretty happy to get any amount.

I did notice much more traffic this morning, I guess the Grapevine is closed so the truckers are taking 101. Of course there were quite a few rigs headed to Pismo too. Whenever it rains a lot of people like to head out to the dunes since they pack down.

I'm so tired of being cold. If nothin' else, I only need a man to help keep me warm.

Get a dog sweetheart, less trouble in the long run and they won't care if you look at another guy!

Plus if they annoy you, you can just put them outside or lock them in their crate. Throw them a bone or a treat and they are happy

Hey I am jonesin' for a desert trip.

Did Big Bear and Dishpan two weekend ago. On a 5 inch lift and 37's I had a lot of fun there.

Anything going on this weekend that is desert (not rock crawling) related.

I wanted to do Mojave road last weekend but had the bad flu going around.

Thinking of running it this weekend.

Snowed all night, stopped about an hour ago. Everything is white. Hwy 58 open now. The 5 and 58 were closed for awhile. That is the report from Tehachapi. Dave

Thanks Dave! My daughter will be coming over from Bakersfield tomorrow so that is good info.

BTW it is still raining and we have snow on the mountains to the west of us! Maybe I can get a wheeling in tomorrow!

Doing maintenance and some upgrades on the jeep( Durango steering box and antirock, tie rod ends, brake lines) should be ready next week. Doing the Rubicon in June. Should be able to make the next run. Dave

Jeff, I'd like to join you tomorrow, but I'm waiting for a tie rod end. Hope to see you in the desert soon. Dave

Woke up to a couple inches of snow this morning.

I love the high desert, snow in the winter and 115 in the summer.
