Rattlesnake canyon

Hey guys. A few friends and myself have been looking for rattlesnake canyon in big bear and can't find it. I was wondering if anyone can give me some directions from fontana area? Thanks

As near as I can tell you have two ways to get to it and that will depend on what else you want to run that day. Maybe if Stevo sees this he will give you more details because he comes into it from the 247 from Victorville. I'm not sure if its named off the 247 or numbered. The number off the Hwy would be RC3325 to RC 3331 from there you can take it up past Matino on into the East side of BB Lake and lots of good trails. If you go that route it would be 15 North to Bear Valley Rd, right and stay on that until it turns into 18/247... Got it

The other way is to go up Hwy 38 and before you hit BB you would drop down on 2n01...

You can actually find it on Google maps. Just search "Rattlesnake Canyon Road, Landers,CA"

Thanks bill I'll try those directions and hopefully find it. I've tried google maps and tried to enter through yuca valley and had no luck.

Glad you made it on the forum George, lots of good peeps on here to wheel with.

Yeah, those directions should work. I plan on running Matino wash (off of Rattlesnake) in May, maybe we can hook up and I can show trail!

Welcome to WF!

If your coming up the mountain via hwy 38 you will want to follow the "white line" I marked on the map.
Hope this helps
SteveO!
