I don't think you'll have any problems towing that on Sherwood or Usal, but if not, you could always go up a day early via main rd and park the trailer at camp, spend the night there, and meet up with us in Willits Saturday. That way the trailer is already there and you won't beat it up on the trail. Sunday's leg is even easier trail wise. Sounds like a lot of work though, lol!

It does but I could run the trail both ways if I do it that way. Lol

I'll be camping. For what I've got in my tent I need to use it as much as I can

Quite possibly. It's been a year since I've been, so I could be mistaken.

I think I forgot this one. Stayed here a few years ago.

Shelter Cove Inn | California Hotel along the beach | Northern California

Here's the sunset view from our room.

Hey guys, How's everyone doing????

So I just got back from Jeepers and there is no way my wife would go on that trip. So I showed her this thread and she's in on this trip as long as we stay at the inn.

Which hotel is the consensus hotel where the rest of you are staying?

I'd love to camp with you all but I am trying to get my gal onto the trail.

Great to see that you can make this run.

Well howdie stranger! Glad to see you're still alive! I posted links to several places to stay a few posts prior and on post #1. We usually stay at the Ocean Front Inn. The rooms are reasonable and there is a restaurant downstairs. Once everyone rolls into camp, Cindy and I usually head into Shelter Cove(bout 20mins from camp), check into our room, and then head back to camp and hang out at the campfire with the group to BS and such. Once we get to camp, you are welcome to do what you like. You could take your lady to dinner, walk on the beach, hang out with the campers, whatever floats your boat.

Sunday morning we will meet to take the second leg of the journey on King's Peak trail to Honeydew, and finally to Humboldt Redwoods State Park. You have the option at this point to follow or you could take the main road back to SR101 to end your journey. There is only one gas station in Shelter Cove, so those with thirsty jeeps may want to top off. Warning, it's pricey!
I would like to be on the trail no later than 10AM, so those that are hoteling it can meet me at the local store/deli in Shelter Cove. They make yummy sammiches there and have breakfast items as well. Meet up there will be 9AM. We'll then drive to the campsite and meet the campers at 9:30AM for final departure to the trailhead. Sunday's journey will end us up here.

Any idea what time we'll end up at the end? Trying to figure out if we should grab a hotel somewhere Saturday.

You mean Sunday?

I believe we ended up at Humboldt Redwoods State park around 3PM ish.
Garberville would probably be your best bet if you decide to spend Sunday night.

It's roughly 1.75hrs from where we end up Sunday to where we began in Willits on Saturday, so you can gauge your drive home from that. If you aren't in a hurry to get home, I highly reccommend you drive back via Avenue of the Giants road.

Oops, yeah brain not working. Lol guess we're driving back for sure Sunday since work is the next day. Google claims about 3.7 hours from that map spot you linked. Not bad but it will definitely be a long day. Maybe I'll end up taking Monday off or something.

You should consider it. It is a beautiful drive thru the Redwoods and you should take your time and enjoy it.

Ok, the list is getting quite large compared to the 12 that went last year. Maxing this one out at 25 rigs if it gets to that many. Still 2 months to go, so I'm sure there will be some attrition.

That is what the wife and I are doing. We haven't decided where to stay yet for Sunday night.
