Rubicon trail

Who has done the rubicon trail? What were your mods? I might want to try it but don't know if my jeep is capable.

My jeep did the con 3 times before I bought it on 33's. And I know of 2 guys who did it in basically stock sports with some AT's.

Last trip he lost the front locker hose and when he gassed it he broke a rear axle shaft. But he drove it to the trailhead and got a tow back to LA. My other buddies had no problems. But they didn't try things like soup bowl and took a few bypasses. Still had a blast. We are going to do The Dusy this year and then I get to go do the Rubicon next year.

I did it in a jk rubicon on a 2.5 inch lift and 35 inch mtrk's. the trail has changed a lot tho lot of the obstacles changed by the forest service.

What is your jeep and mods? Plan at least 3 days on the trail, with other jeeps and means to trail fix anything.

I'd recommend at least 33's, enough lift to fit them, lockers and rock rails. And an experienced spotter.

Ran it last summer. JK Rubicon on 35's. No problems or any real damage.
