Well if you're gonna start with Gold Mountain I'm in. If you all decide to run trails I can't handle I'll just part ways at that point. I'd be getting off duty at 0730 and be able to leave by then, just let me know. I'm back from deployment in a few days so I'll have access to my phone again.

And I'll give an Amen to that too.
You should be able to handle about anything Big Bear has to offer with a bit of spotting and maybe a strap or to on JB. But only maybe. The stock rubi's are pretty amazing.

Gold Mountain, Jacoby, Heartbreak, Pontiac would be good runs. I wouldn't recommend anything more than that without better armor.

Probably wouldn't want to do Holcomb, Dishpan, or JB without at least some skid plates, probably diff covers too.

Dakota, if you need some maps, pm me your email address and I will send you a few of the trails like Gold mountain etc so you can see your entry and departure points of the trail. When you head up the mountain there is also a forestry station off both hwy 38 and 330. They sell a great map of the whole SB mountain range.

Signing in as maybe so I don't lose track of this thread. Still figuring out the memorial day weekend plans, but big bear might be it. If so, I am in with you.

Hey mini you think my ride can handle those trails with out having the strap hooked up all day? Never been on them before but I'd like to give it a run.

I just shot Dakota an Email with maps of GM and Bull as well as a map quest link to the area. It is quicker if you come up Hwy 38 because the trail head is north East of the lake, but if you come up 330 you just have to drive across the North shore of the lake to arrive at the trailhead to GM which is right off the Hwy. MapQuest actually identifies trail.

John bull is not all that hard, the middle section is what would concern me the most. Im sure you could do it choosing the right lines. You have a winch and i have a strap if its needed.

There is another guy coming up in a stock rubi. He would probably be up to split off and do another trail with you after gold mountain.

Correct. 10:30 is the estimate we will try and be up there as close to it as possible its a little bit of a push it really depends on the traffic. ill make sure to have everyones number by friday that is going so we can all keep in touch. UC_Rubi and minisaba are going to be driving out with me and thats like half the group i think thats going.

I cancelled out on the John Bull run and will meet you all at gold mountain mapquest point. I will have to cut out in time for a 5-6pm BBQ we are hosting for my sons buddy who is visiting from his navy assignment in Florida. See you there!
