Run Organizers Take Note

I thought I'd pass along some info which would be very helpful in organizing runs and other gatherings. I posted this question in the Support forum.

Ability to edit post

In addition to what's in the thread, I also got other tips via PM.

Bottom line, when organizing a run we can request a mod (by PM or by reporting the post) to allow indefinite updates to a single post, specifically the first post in the thread, for the purpose of updating it with the latest event information. That way the organizer can keep the first post up to date and anyone can just go to the first post to get all the necessary info instead of having to read the entire thread to get it.

Good lookin out Armand, I will see what I can do to help clean up the Nightmare Gulch run. Your thread said something about possibly being allowed to update a post if you are a trail organizer, if requested. I will see what I can get one of the mods to help me out with. Maybe unlimited editing time until the run or something?

Yah, I would just click the "Report Post" button on the first post and request indefinite edits to that post for the purpose of event organization.

I just messaged a mod to see what they can do. I linked the message to the thread. Ill keep you and others updated in this thread and/or the run thread as well. If it works out, it will make things much simpler and organized for people that stumble across a run thread...especially when its 15-20 pages long.
