San Diego dealerships

Does anyone have any positive leads in the San Diego area? Dealership and/or sales rep?

The one dealership I personally would avoid for sure is Midway Jeep on Hotel Circle South. I met their GM years ago in a business meeting and he threatened to perma-void the warranty of any Jeep with a suspension lift that came in there for service.

Jack Powell Dodge Jeep in Escondido is pretty good, it has been owed by the same family for many decades.

I purchased mine from Jack Powell in Escondido. I was so impressed with how smooth and the no BS salesman I actually wrote a letter to the owner personally thanking them. Good luck and happy shoping.

Knowing what I know now. I'd take a little longer drive if I wer you to riverside. See the man, the myth, the legend Rob at Moss Dodge. I've met Rob personally and he's on here daily. I think it would be worth your time.

Thanks Chris. No higher praise can there be than one Jeeper recommending another.

So I just bought my jeep a couple weeks ago from midway. I honestly have to say I got a good price, but I had to work for it. If i had to do it all over again i wouldn't go there. typical sales person/manager trying to play the game to get the most money out. I definitely wont be taking it there to get serviced. On the upside the finance dude there was pretty chill, if i remember correctly his name was mark.

I first started out at rancho cause they agreed over the truecar price and said they throw in some free stuff on the phone/email. Of course magically when I got there they didnt honor it so I walked out.

Anyway best of luck finding one, but i'd avoid those two

Midway was the one dealer I suggested above who was bad news for anyone who intends to lift/modify their Jeep. I can only STRONGLY suggest you not take your Jeep there again for service if you ever install a suspension lift or body lift because the GM likes to completely void the warranty of Jeeps after that has been done.

I don't know of any other SD area dealerships that go out of their way to void a warranty like the GM at Midway Jeep will.

I got my JK from Carl Burger in La Mesa. The first day I went I test drove the car and found the jeep that I wanted down to options and color. The MSRP of the vehicle that I wanted was $36,100 so the next day I printed the car buying certificate from USAA and it was $33,100 including the options, dealership and even destination fees. What I added on top of it was the KARR GPS Alarm System (reason why I had to shop for another jeep because it got stolen!). Since I'm in the military I paid FL registration which was less than $100 but will have CA plates. I came out closing the deal at $36,800. Twan, my salesman was awesome and my overall rating as far as negotiating price and the smoothness of trying to get the deal was A+. I have purchased several cars and I have to say that my car buying experience with Carl Burgers Jeep Dodge Chrysler was the best! Some dealerships will try to haggle with you and this dealership didn't. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership!

Thanks for letting me know about Midway because I would have taken my Jeep there for service since I live 5 mins away.

I ended up ordering mine from Carl Burger as well. I price matched all the local dealers and they gave me the best deal. Now the waiting game...

I just picked up my first Wrangler at Carl Burger last night. I had to drive down from Dana Point, but couldn't find a good price on the one I wanted in OC. RubiChick, I also had Twan as my salesmen and was also impressed. He actually knew a lot about the Wranglers, where most of the other dealers I went to had salesmen that didn't know much. I got a great deal on my 2013 new Sahara Unlimited Billet, loaded with Black Leather! I was happy with their process there. Unfortunately I live too far away to go back for service, but I would recommend to anyone to buy from there if looking.

P.S. This is my first post here, and I look forward to making several more and starting my Jeep adventure!

Welcome to the forum!! Enjoy your new Jeep! FWIW. I have been impressed with Orange Coast Chrysler Jeep for service. They don't void warranties if you lift your jeep. In fact they lift their Jeeps. ( OC Motorsports)
If you want to hit check out a couple of trails off HWY 74 send me a PM.

Thanks Jay! I will definitely hit you up for some trail rides. I have a couple buddy's with JKU's too that haven't seen the dirt yet, but they are want to get them out.

I actually looked at Orange Coast in Capo Beach and was happy with the team there. I talked to the Manager at OC Motorsorts about building up an Anvil Sport they had for me. Ultimately it was pricing that stopped me from buying there. I plan on doing service there and maybe even my lift build.

Here is what I was going to build with them.
