San Diego Trails (reposted in SoCal Forum)

Below are some trails on my short list, a bit more obscure but a lot of fun and some real challenges. Has anyone has done them recently, and can give me a trail status?

Carrizo Mountain -- only open from July 1 - Dec 31
Carrizo Gorge Overlook
Otay Mountain border trails
Sweetwater Canyon
Indian Creek Truck Trail (west of Idyllwild)

Cheers - happy wheeling!

Carrizo Gorge Overlook, Was there two weeks ago and is closed half way between the gorge and the towers we hit a sign from the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. The sign said "NO VEHICLES" "FOOT TRAFFIC ONLY". we did run the Mountain spring stagecoach station trail

I think I know that spot - you're on the top of a bluff and there's a small sign, but no gate. Did you turn around or finish the run anyway? Send a private reply if you want.

How's the Mountain Springs trail? Can a newbie in a lifted jeep do it with an experienced buddy? Meaning, is it just rocky or is it technical?
