Talking Santa Clarita easy run 29 Dec

Ladies and gentleman, I wanted to put together an easy fun run between the holidays to just get out and flex. This is a great run if you have a new rig and you wanna break it in or if you're just sick of drinking egg nog...

The forest service labels some of the trail black diamond but its nothing a stock rig can't make it through. There are some offshoots that are a little challenging for those that want to venture.

We will meet at the Drinkwater flats staging area. We'll take drinkwater over to bouquet canyon. That's where we will catch another trail up and over to Rowher flats. After the run I was thinking we could stop by Game Day Sports bar for drinks or a late lunch.

Wow, sounds like a fun time. I have family visiting during that time, so I'll probably be unavailable for this run, but if I can talk a couple of them into going on an easy run, I'll join you if you don't mind.

I just mapquested this locations, it's only 2.5 hours from us. Do you think there will be any snow?

I told my husband I wanted to take a family day trip somewhere on the 29th to go offroad, hopefully find some snow for my grandson. Even if there isn't any, it would still be a nice day off.

Its in Santa Clarita. If you copy the GPS location I put in the first post and google it, it will show up in google maps and you can get directions that way. The staging area is about 4 miles down on the left hand side of San Francisquito Road in Santa Clarita.

Snow is pretty doubtful, its about 2500 feet, but a fun run without snow.

Depending on my kids I plan on being there.

Really hope you can make it. I don't know about the snow though, but it'll be fun either way

hey. I'm driving down from the Bay Area for Xmas and New Years. I'll be staying in Lake Forest for some of that time. I think it's about 90minutes from Santa Clarita. Gotta check with the family to make sure there aren't any plans that day. If my days free, I'm in. I'll know in a day or so.

Ran the trail today to make sure everything was still open and the trail was AWESOME. Beautiful scenery right now and a great mix of challenges for the beginner to intermediate wheeler..If you have street tires on your jeep expect to get strapped cause it was pretty slippery in sections due to the recent rains.

The weather forecast has rain mid week with sunny skies on Saturday for the run..

I can't wait. You guys are gonna love this trail!

Unfortunately we have to back out of this. We've got employee issues that just came about and inventory will be going on that day. If something changes over this week I will notify you. I really wanted to go and for once it was somewhere not 4 hours away.

Thank you, I hope to see pictures of everyone having a good time.

Merry Christmas,
Lisa

No problem Lisa. Life happens when you're making other plans right?! I'll be doing another run in a couple of weeks. Hopefully you can make that one.

Merry Xmas

Yes 10am at the GPS spot. That's where we will air down and disconnect. So if you're running a bit late you'll have a little time..

Glad you decided to go
