Very much appreciated! I think a guy at work has one I may borrow, I'll have to see

I do have a CB.

I guess we can run dishpan and figure the rest later.
Where is the meet, time, and CB channel?

Hows 9:00am at the Dishpan trailhead sound? For those who don't know how to get there, we could meet at the Chevron station on 18. If I remember right it takes around an hour to get to the Dishpan trailhead. So 7:45 at the Chevron station for those who would rather meet there.

Address to the Chevron station is 295 E 40th St, San Bernardino, CA 92404.

CB 4.

Let me know if this works.

Hi guys - I've never done Dishpan so I'm interested. Haven't been out wheeling in a few months. Can't say I'm in 100% but I think I'll be there. I'd like to caravan, so meeting at the Chevron at 7:45 sounds good.

I also have an extra CB and a magnet mount antenna in case anyone doesn't have one.

Bad news - wife just got home and reminded me we have a birthday party to go to in LA that afternoon, so I don't think I can make it. Sorry fellas, maybe next time around.

Im in! I'll meet at chevron also. I've never done Dishpan so I'm not too sure where the trailhead is. How many do we have that are committed to heading out?

As of now it looks like it's just 3 of us commited. Hyperbrad hasn't gotten back to us yet but I'm assuming he is coming. If so that would make 4.

With this small a group we can hit a few trails and have time to get out and snap some good pics on the waterfall and such.

Good or bad idea to run with doors off tomorrow? Any mud we may encounter that will spray up from tires? I don't mind the dust, just don't want to deal with the mud until I get seat covers...

Won't be any mud. The only creek crossing there is paved. Thats before the trail starts.

Should be a beautiful day so i would say its a good idea.

I was up there a couple weeks ago and there was water/mud crossings on the way to and on Holcomb creek not a big deal but thought I'd share...

Some new dings and dents, high centering, winching, 2 blown beads 20 feet onto the trail, and some new Jeepers hooked! Great day on the trail. Thanks for coming out!

Here's my pics.

Dishpan and Holcomb Creek 8/10/13 - a set on Flickr

Oh ya... and we all learned you can set a bead with a Smittybilt compressor! Lol.

Looks like a good time. Dud you crank a ratchet strap around tire to help set bead?

Nope. Just pulled the valve stem and let the compressor run. I still can't believe it worked... twice!

Thanks JC for arranging this run.
I had a great time despite a couple of mishaps. We learned something valuable though from these mishaps. I am glad it worked out fine.
Thanks for everyone's help.
It was great wheeling with nice people such as yourselves. It was also great meeting Brandon and Emily. Great people.
Hope to wheel with you again.
Joe.

Great pics JC. thanks for posting.
You are right we learned a very valuable lesson. I know it worked with the compressor that I have. I am not sure that it will work with others.
Thanks again for this outing.
Joe.

Yep, Hope to do this again soon! Maybe next time with less carnage Just kidding, the carnage made it more exciting and gives us some excuses for some upgrades

Forgot about the bent tie rod too. Time for a chromoly one and to relocate that steering dampener .
