Nice choice, they're my favorites since never being able to damage them on the local rocks. Mine are worn down, I'm looking for a new set of them (Goodyear MT/R kevlars) now.
Thx Jerry! I took it on the highway today and experienced a hop/bounce at 55-60. That was kind of new to me. No wobble in the steering wheel. Thoughts?
Imperfect tire balance though that the steering wheel doesn't shimmy too is odd. I've had to had my tires balanced 3 times in one day before they got them balanced well enough, don't assume yours were properly balanced.
The MTR are great off road, but known for balancing issues. On my last Jeep I had to have them re-balanced every other oil change.
I didn't have these same issues with the set of MTR on my LJ, but when they wore out recently I switched to Cooper STT Pro which don't have balancing issues and are great off road.
If you are ever in the Borrego Springs area. Have Jake or Tito balance those MTRs. I had my last set balanced once for the life of them and Im still on my first balance with the new set after a year or so. They are also cheap.
No issues at all with my first set. Just one of those things.
