I can't really see any down side to making the split... who calls the shots? I would be happy to plead the case.

I believe it will help filter runs better.

Thoughts? You guys don't care? Probably just want to wheel... I get it.
I'm with it.
Makes it a lot easier to filter through.

UPDATE:

Heard back from my Mod buddy- he says he'll run it up the flag pole and see what the owner of the site says. It may take a while to get an answer though, so we have to be patient. If we don't hear anything back by the end of November, I'll inquire as to the status

It needs to be split, the terrain, for the most part is significantly different and the distances are to great. I would not define a a boarder, I do not think you could get agreement.

No need to define a border... people just choose whichever they want. I think its a good call, although the Northerners don't bother me at all. I bet they get sick of us in SoCal monopolizing the threads.

You're probably right.

Saw the pics of the Mottino Wash run, looks like you guys had good fun there.

I'm a Northener. I do not feel or think you guys are monopolizing the threads. There are more people in SoCal on this forum, so it comes with the territory.

Question What do you think about this?

OK everyone I have an idea. I know the MODS are thinking about this thanks to Lorie and I was wondering, what if one of the MODS posted up this very question as a poll for all to see?

Then they could use the votes to help determine if this idea will or won't work in their eyes. It is their baby, we just play with it!

Added: and make it a stickey!

I personally do not see any advantage in either way. You know where you live and it does not take that much to find out if a run is too far for you or not. Even if it split north and south, would anyone drive from San Diego to Fresno for a day run. I don't think so. You still need to know your geographical location to know what you can and wont do. Just my opinion here.

I see your point Dave, but Its not hard to do and we could still look at Nor Cal posts and they ours. It would clean things up some. Not too long ago there wasnt much traffic on here at all, kinda looked like the other forum....that CA section is dead.... not sure why either. Not a major thing either way...
