Snow in the Sierra's

Just seen on the news this morning the Sierra's received some snow over the weekend.
If anyone is planning a trip to run the Dusy, Swap Lake, Bald Mtn or any of the other killer trails up that way this year....you might want to get up there soon.
The trails might be closed earlier then usual this year.

I saw that on the news last night, sounds like it was a surprise storm. Mike leaves for deer hunting around Lone Pine Wed. morning, I hope it snows higher up and pushes the deer down his way. It would be nice if he came home with a big Buck

It very well could. It may also mean some Jerky too. He leaves the 23rd and comes home the 2nd. That would give us about 7 days and he has a big commercial dehydrator so it could work

Lets hope he gets something!!

I was at Kennedy/Monache meadows this weekend and it was a toasty 29 degrees at night. Lots of storm clouds on Sat night also with a bit of rain too.

I just looked at the weather for the Lone Pine and Bishop area, it's not going to be very cool except at night. No snow or rain seems to be in the next 5 day forecast so that's a bummer.
