I have to get in for that big bear run...! Hopefully they, the worst case, put me in a basic foot/shin cast... Hopefully just a splint but we'll see.
Those volcanic rocks will get you every time…sneaky bastards...

Who would like to go up to the lower Sierras??

We could scope out Monache, or even the Kern river side!!
It has gotten a bit warm out in the El Paso's, but they are still a possibility. Go stay at the Cabins, and wheel Last Chance, Goler Gulch Squeeze, and even look up some of the old mine footings and look for some neat petro-glyphs. I do know some Intaglios on Black Mesa, and one is a rabbit! Since it has been my go to place for so long, I love the stuff out there.
Or....even see if we can go up to Gerro Gordo, and stop at the Fossil Falls and see those petro-glyphs and chipping grounds full of obsidian. I guess we can even do a campout in my property/back yard, and have more rest time before travel.

Last Chance Cyn....

and of course my dog "Jake" with his sour face on. He liked sleeping in the cabin, but not the kangaroo rats that kept him awake!

And we have room on my lot for several rigs too.

this view from the buttes behind my place, and one looking south to the mountains, and Wrightwood.

A co-worker of mine said that 2 years or so ago, Avi was closed due to bed bugs and problems with people catching colds and getting really sick from the non room maintenance.... He said that they always went there until this happened..

Crazy!

Hey everyone! Love all the pictures!

Steve! I am definitely up for some trails in the Sierras. I have also been toying with the idea of running the 'con this summer....anyone else interested?

There were a bunch of different trails we took. A few times we ended up in places we didn't intend to go (best parts of every trip right).

Dirtopia has a great resource on the Mojave Road.
