Closer to you than me I believe. It is about 100 miles plus one way from my place. Lot's of places to explore but nothing to technical for Jeeps. Great for dirt bikes though.

I just googled it and its about 128 miles to Ridgecrest from Redlands, so not that much farther...I have never been to Miller etc out that way.

Hi Guys, Dakota and I will be out at our house in Borrego Springs from the 16th to the 26th. We are in the middle of the Anza Borrego State Park and 15 minutes from Ocotillo Wells. Anyone who wants to come out this way would be more than welcome. From Borrego we could wheel in the park and at Ocotillo Wells all in the same day. There are lots of options for lodging or camping. PM me or post up if interested.

Hey Bill, Check out The Springs at Borrego RV Park, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California. The place is awesome. Golf, fishing and a heated pool. Fire and BBQ at our house or there are many restaurants.

Hey Grant, I didnt know you guys had a place there. That RV park looks real nice, but they require a 4 night stay and even then they are filling up. I think we have decided on the area for sure, so we just need to find a park that will work for us!

I will be staying here in Ocotillo Wells on the 24th 25th and maybe the 26th. Would love to hook up and do some wheeling with you guys. I've been to Ocotillo, and know it very well or used to 15 years ago and doubt it has changed very much. My buddy owns the only motel there and wheels all the time so I'm sure he can give us some pointers or even go with us Monday.

They also have a RV park there.

I have a few friends who will be camping just past Holmes Camp in their RV's and they will be there from Wednesday 11/21 to Monday 11/26.

Ocotillo is a great place for night runs too, and I think the Iron Door is still there?

Map of the SRVA:

http://www.desertironwoods.com/offroad_parkmap.pdf

We are not restricted to that area being street legal.

A few of the attractions, and there are many more from Salton Sea to the Borrego Badlands, and Fish Creek Wash to Sandstone Canyon.

Hey Bill, Take a look at The Palm Canyon Resort in Borrego Springs. Palm Canyon Resort, Borrego Springs California USA. They were closed all summer long due to bankruptcy but are now in receivership and open. They are charging $34 a night with no minimum. The bar and restaurant aren't open as they sold the liquor license. Many other places in town. As Rubi said Desert Ironwoods is in Ocotillo Wells and has hookups but buggy's and bikes are coming and going all day long and well into the night. The closest gas is Borrego or where the S22 meets the 86. Borrego is 15 miles and the other is FAR!!

I'll be in if there's a place I can take my tent trailer for one night. Cheap is my priority so $34 a night sounds good.

Come on out Rick. Any day but Thanksgiving day. We will have a bunch of family that day. By the way if you have guns and want to shoot we can do that too. I am picking up a new AR15 tomorrow and will be dialing it in this weekend getting it ready for TG week.

Ok, cool. I'll talk to my wife. Definitely wouldn't be Thanksgiving day or Black Friday. That's her favorite day of the year. ha ha

The trail? The trail is south from scissor crossing on HWY78. Fun trail.

Cool, the Blu Inn is still open. We would stop by there after a run through the badlands for lunch. Damn I'm looking forward to getting back out to Ocotillo.

BTW, what CB channel will everyone use so we can hook up?
