OK. Woke up to snow and dense fog (clouds). Snow was about 3" of slushy stuff. Was 34 degrees on the deck when I left at 430 this morning. LOTS of debris on the 330. Rocks from pebbles up to bowling ball size. Roads only had a little snow and only at the 6000' level. Probably won't even be able to tell by tomorrow. Plow went by my place around 2am. Probably just to practice.

GF just texted me that the plow went by again and snow is continuing to fall. Temps must have dropped again. Guess I get to go berm crawling so I can get to the snow blower and clear the driveway when I get home.

I'll be a maybe for this run.

I was getting a Gold Mtn run together on another forum, but might cancel it if they get too much snow up there...

Gunner, what's your projected time to intersect the 91 and 241 so us south OC folks can join the conga line?

Got the pic thanks. Looks like we got us a white christmas run going. Just talked to the ranger station and there are no gates on 3N16 if we run it all the way to the dump and then intersect the 38 there.

My guess is we ought to be there about by 915 or so. You have my cell number so you can call me and make sure we hook up on the freeway.

OK I talked to the ranger station and here is the skinny. The road we are going to take. 3N16. Starts at Green Valley rd. It then turns into Crab Flats rd. Then it becomes Holcomb Valley rd and drops us out at the dump site at hwy 38. There are no gates on this route to worry about. Now as far as the roads getting up there. They do not expect to have chain stations up at this time. Another storm is due friday. I have to call back then. As far as chains go. They usually let the 4x4's run without. But State law says you are suppose to have them in your possession. Most of us do not have them. They should not be checking for them on 4x4's. I would only expect a problem if you get stuck and they ask for them. But with all of us and all the gear no one is going to get left stuck. All in all out. The Snow plows are going to be hitting the roads hard due to a slow season and they don't want to keep people out of town for any reason.

Yeah my friends are excited and decided to not come in their 2wd Seoquia. They are gonna ride with me and see if they really want to buy a JKUR for some fun times. My TJ is a bit cramped for them He's 6'5" she's 5'7" But a Unlimited ought to fit just fine.
