I have chains in my TJ, but only because they're required up here on the hill between October and April. I never once put chains on the 2 YJ's, AWD Explorer or the F250 4x4... but when they have chain control check points, you have to have them with you.

Nice meeting some of you at the parking lot sale today.

First post is edited. Looks like we have a possible of 24 rigs starting the run. Ought to be a blast.

This sounds like the perfect adventure for my first outing with my new Jeep.
Unfortunately Big Bear is 2 hours away.
Four hours of wheeling, and four hours on the road, plus the down time will make for a10 plus hour day.
Maybe when it warms up ill find a place to camp and make a weekend out of it.

That sounds about right Dave. We are coming from Seal Beach so it is about a 2 hour drive for me. Hope to wheel with you sometime.

I'm a 90%er as well. How would u come out this way? Over Ortegas? If so maybe we could meet up and cruise up to meet the rest. Just a idea. I'm just the other side of the Ortegas from u

I take the 241 to the 91 and out. I've taken Ortega and for me it's much longer of a drive.

Hope to see everyone out there!
