While getting gas for the work van, this fellow rolled in. Started life as a 53 Willys. Pretty awesome rig. Said he was going to head out to Hammers later today. Told him about the Forum.

It has nothing to do with what century we are in. It was just too excessive with the stickers for my taste. It kind of ruined the nice jeep in my opinion. Just like to much chrome or to high or to many sponsor stickers etc. Like I said just my opinion. If you like the rainbow good for you put them on your jeep.

Lol speaking of rainbows my dad was old school and from another era....he was light and pretty happy about stuff was a vietnam vet would be brass if needed...well he did a lot of traveling and showed up at my wife and my house in San Diego in his motorhome....well he was pretty naive with things and he had 4 rainbow decals hangng in his windows...
I started laughing and asked him if he knew what it stood for....he said beauty and he liked the colors...
So I explained what it was a symbol of....the reaction and surprise as well as his feeling of being robbed of his simple happiness ....I .AUGHED MY @$$ off...his reaction was priceless...remember he was old school so modern acceptance wasn't high on his upbringing....

My wife's dad a ex vet as well, muatai fighter, cowboy, bomb disposal tech, northern Idaho developer etc was traveling around when they came down here....he had a big rainbow sticker on his luggage my wife had stuck on There years earlier being his kid he left it....
Andrea explained to him and he laughed really hard and wondered why he got some looks when packing it around....now he's a manly man which makes it funny....

Yes it is your opinion and are more then free to express it but this isn't the place !!!! This thread in particular is more of a hey look at this jeep spotted around town. Not a bash on the jeep's owners preferences and decorations. If you wanna do that start a thread with maybe a "what where they thinking" A jeep is a jeep no matter what you have on it. To much chrome, to many stickers, to much bling who cares. Please don't take this the wrong way but leave the rash opinions to another thread/forum. I'm not gay or homophobic i'll sport a rainbow doesn't mean a thing unless you make it a thing. Let people be and live with what they choose to be.

Thanks.

Not to add to the argument, but in Nick's defense we have bashed stupid Jeeps on this thread and there has even been the gay pride sticker brought up on this thread before. I have the same reaction to dumb family stickers. I'm sure someone doesn't like the huge military star on the side of my Jeep because I'm promoting baby killing. Speaking of baby killing the Girl Scouts apparently put aborted fetuses in the cookies, but I'm still gonna eat the thin mints. So it's all good.

Look at the first picture that started this tread and the comments to follow. And you are busting my balls!

I have since enrolled in a sensitivity class. No hard feelings Sinister.... We will both be at the Turdfest in March. Hope to see you there.

Definitely a sweet rig. I'll be thinking about it while I'm snuggling up with a bag of frozen peas this weekend.

Saw this guy at our place. He was visiting family during their round the world trip. What an adventure. Had stickers from everywhere on the side.

Always wanted one of those. Maybe it's because of the fond memories of a right hand drive postal IH Scout in my youth.
