Stoddard Wells Sunday 24th

A few of us are going to be running the canyons of Stoddard Wells this Sunday. It supposed to be excellent weather conditions. If you've been wanting to check this place out or just want to get back out there this is your chance. This is a huge place to play and I will show the way around out here...
So post up and let's go crawl some rocks!

Steve I'm still planning on coming out for this ... I'll probably peel off after ESB so I'm not holding you guys back from the big stuff .... When and where are we meeting up?

I getting looked at tomorrow for a possible torn rotator cuff ... But I don't think that is going to hold me back ...

Right on guy's!
This is starting to look like a good turn out. I have 4 or 5 other rigs coming so far too. We will be meeting at the Stoddard Wells OHV staging area just off the Outlets drive off ramp @ 830ish. So if your headed north on the 15 freeway you'll get off at the Outlets off ramp and make a right then another quick right and I /we will be on your left.
hope to see you there.

What CB channel will you be on, what time are you meeting?

The outlet ramp... are you talking about the outlets over in Barstow? Never been to Stoddard Wells so that is why I'm asking.. more directions would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes, he is talking about Outlet Center Drive (OCD) near Barstow (Lenwood). If you are headed north on the 15, you will make a right turn from the exit and a short way down the road (I'm guessing half a mile), another right into the OHV staging area. The last time I met him over there, he was very close to the road and easy to find. Good luck, be safe, and have fun out there.

Did you add any upgrades to your Jeep since the M&G? The trails he's doing are some hard stuff. Pretty sure you'll want rails and a locker (unless you're Joe lol).

Xj Phil gave excellent directions....we will be on Ch 4 and I will be monitoring it well before the meeting time ..... we will be starting off the morning with Empire Strikes Back. This is a moderate trail..33's and LSD minimum requirements. From there the trails will increase in difficulty.
Your more then welcome to join us. ..

From what I've seen of the trail it's in the same difficulty neighborhood as Achey Breaky and Holcomb ... At least that's what I'm expecting ... So don't take it too easy on me Steve!

Steve I probably should back out ... They have me on the good stuff for my shoulder right now if you know what I mean ... Probably doesn't mix with wheeling very well

If you guys hit up ESB anyways and if someone had a GPS with them ... could someone get me the GPS tracks

No worries Joe...hope you feel better soon. Just let me know when you want to go run ESB and we'll go. You don't have to twist my arm to go wheelin in Stoddard Wells.

If its a Sunday, I'm . Let me know what trails you're running in Oct for the VV run. I'm off and planning on being there, would rather run your trails if I can get the SUV through em, haha.

I'm not going to make it either.

Joe let me know when you end up going. I'm trying to limit myself to some of the easier trails so that I don't break anything and can focus on paying off debt. Looking like I'm going to buy a YJ as soon as I can sell my JK.

Thanks Steve and everybody for a good time, and thanks for talking me into going up that waterfall, went right up it. I did pretty good all day, except for that last "easy" section just b4 the flat tire. I goofed up and was all over my tie rod. I did some wrenching on it while you all were fixing the tire. Figured I'd better go home. Hope you had fun on pumpkin eater. Mark.
