Sudsy Meet N' Greet- So Cal

Hello all,
It's been awhile since there has been a Jeep Meet N Greet geared towards frosty beverages. I was thinking the evening of October 11th. The Steelers and Titans play that night. It could be a good game or a total dud- but then again it might depend on which refs. show up.
Since its also sort of year-end for some trails, I am thinking awards may be in order. ("Most Likely to Take the Bypass", Most Likely to Break Something", Most Bad A** Jeep Not on 35s").
If Interested please help me select a locale that works for the majority:

Voted Yard House.

Hopefully the real refs will be back, or it could be a game like Monday:

Or the Ravens/Patriots game. Or the Raiders game...or the Denver game....At least it keeps it interesting. I read one of the casinos is refunding bets from the Monday game.

It does keep it interesting. You keep asking wtf are they doing now? Why do they look so confused?

Refunding bets? I'm sure the losers would like that. Wonder if they still pay the winners?

Corona is actually the city west of Riverside, so a touch closer than going to Big Cheese in Riverside.

Yah but my schedule has changed, and I'm working a later now (which I'm not too happy about), plus dealing with heavier traffic. Anaheim Hills seems the closest for me coming from work though.

Yeah, me too... pretty hard to get that far out without taking off from work early. Armand, I say we should have a brew and chew in downtown LA and let these IE people drive for once

I'm all for that if others are, although maybe not right in Downtown LA because of parking, but a close suburb. A San Fernando Valley Brew & Chew would be awesome.

For you LA-ers- if you want me to add another location to the poll I will (I think I can). I agree its hard to find an in-between spot especially during the week. Why these fizzle out....
What about a Brew N Chew on a Sunday-later in the day? Or a light trail ride with a Brew N Chew after?
I know there is a way you can do the Mainline trail from either Corona or Holy Jim/Trabuco and come out on the 15 right by Taps/Cajalco. I don't have my trail map with me. It's not rock-crawling (boo, I know) but it would be a nice, short trail ride and brewskies after. Might get some of the stockers out of the woodwork. THose of you that refuse to put your Jeep on a fire road can skip the trail and head for Taps. Anyone else have a different trail or thought?

Weekend would be easier for me if it's an hour drive or more away. I could actually probably make a weeknight in Anaheim Hills or Corona, it's just tiring driving that far there and home after a full day of work, and then to get up early again the next morning.

I've been trying to get a Brew & Chew closer to me for a while, but it doesn't appear there are many Jeepers in my area who like eating or drinking.

The I.E. knows how to eat and drink my friend. If ya'll will just get past the idea that we're a bunch of rednecks who just sit around and eat and drink you might live here too. Wait a minute.....

Well I won't vote. I'll let you guys decide, since I'm not even sure if I can make it. Whatever is decided, I'll see what I can do to attend.

Taps is a cool place to meet, and ample parking in a safe area. (And the suds are pretty tasty there too!)

Another choice I posted on another thread was Laws lunch and dinner, on Indiana between Tyler and Van Buren. Inside and outside seating, and easy to get a parking spot where you can keep an eye on your jeep.

Is this still happening? Still for the 11th at Yard House?

Yes- at Yard House in Riverside. YARD HOUSE RIVERSIDE, 3775 Tyler Street, Riverside, CA 92503 - Google Maps
Yardhouse is on the Magnolia side of the mall- next to Robbins Bros. Yardhouse suggests parking in the garage (next to Yardhouse) on the top floor. Usually pretty open during the week.
If you didn't chime in but plan on attending please post. I know several more people are attending but didn't post it here. Yardhouse has a giant bar so right now we're good- I'll make reservations if need be.
Plan on 6:30 on. I'll be there early for those that may get there earlier/come straight from work. See y'all then!

I'm a maybe. I've got it on my calendar, but I'm still debating whether or not I want to spend 3+ hours on the road and $50+ on gasoline to be there. Right now I'm not too eager, but it's Monday, and it's possible I might change my mind by Thursday.

I'd offer to buy you some beverages if you make it but after seeing the Libation Station documentary evidence I don't think I can afford it!

I don't think I've met everyone attending- I'll be wearing a Poisonous (as in Spyder) tank. My Jeep will be easy to spot..... THis what happens when you don't show up for M & Gs or don't wave.

I'm not going to make it tonight. I was hoping to make it, but my wife has a meeting that is going to run late in Orange County, so I'll be hanging with the kids.
